Hi guys ... I am usinh v4.0 right now ... Its great rom and its true .... I am having just one problem when ever i open a new app the statusbar flickers ... Previously i was on stock lollipop..

If you mean it flashes white, I believe its to do with Google now or something.

Did Alarm on clock widget tweak work with your mods?

Yes, should be fine.

Read ahead didn't fix it. Direct volume control also produced the same stutter. I'll keep tinkering if you keep throwing ideas at me.

Yea we're looking into it. High priority helps though? This puts us on the right track as to what is causing it. Seems it's not the hk mod specifically. Word is it might be kernel related.

Edit: you need to DISABLE direct volume control to have Hk effects work with power amp. I don't think that setting should have any bearing on the stutter one way or the other although it does determine whether system or Poweramp are handling certain things. I don't believe it stops power amps audio tweak section from being applied though.

Is there a Way to change the venom quick settings when u once pull down the drop menu?

Is there a way to change the background of the drop down menu and menu where all apps are listed?

BTW awesome rom as always and lollipop is also as great as the rom?

Hi all,

I just installed the 4.0.0 after having 3.8 for a while but my wifi keeps disconnecting.. Tried following these steps venomroms.com / viperonem8_3-0-0-requirements/ to go back to stock and update it all but when installing the backup stock it says install failed without any error code or reason so I'm kind of stuck (and I love ViperOne so I don't want to revert or use another ROM). Does anyone know a solution or easy workaround/fix?

Yes but those tweaks did fix it for me. I thought you had said that it did help. Did it not help at all or did it just come back after you turned off direct volume control?

The poweramp played fine before the buffer and read tweaks because HK wasn't being applied w/ direct volume toggled on. Tweaking the buffer and read-ahead didn't do anything, sorry should have been more clear about that. So toggling the direct volume applies the HK settings and the stutter appears.

Kernel is in the boot.img file, you can get it from the Venom 4.0.0 zip and flash it by using Flashify (don't forget to do a backup before).

Hi mates!

Awesome rom but I have two questions. First - Is there any option to change colour on quicksettings? I saw only option to change color for horizontal QS but not for normal QS. And the second one - I have a big battery drain. I've tried everything but nothing helps.

No that's ok. I got you. I have the stutter both ways but on Hk it's Def much worse and I can actually make it happen by moving around my phone (opening apps, swiping in a side bar I use.) it's better on boomsound even with Hk adsp. Anyway, I guess we have some idea where to look. For now maybe you can squeeze by on boomsound if you're lucky. Thanks for running through those tests for me.

I restored many apps with Titanium Backup and have not experienced any issues. If you choose to restore with TiBU again, be careful when (or better yet, avoid) restoring system data.

I had this when installing my theme, once downloaded just boot to recovery and install yourself...

Version 4.0 has been working great for me on Verizon M8 even though they temporarily pulled support for it. Bought the gold key to support development of the ROM.
Hope I can see this great ROM on the M9 next month.
