I am downloading this at work right now. It is slow and will take me a couple to download.

While it is dl'g, I have a question about wiping. Do I still need to do a factory reset if I am coming from a marshmallow cm13 RR rom?Baybutchers?

Also, I have not been able to get my GPS to work properly. In your post #17, you referred to original manufacturer rom. Where can I get this rom to set the gps? I do have computerfreek's room saved as a backup if I could use it? I don't have easy access to a computer to do a fastboot.
Thx.

It's always a better idea to do a factory reset/full wipe just in case there are any file conflicts or leftover files. You can try without it, but you will most likely have extra problems. Just backup anything important and to your Google account that got would want to carry over.

I mean the original software that was shipped with your phone (or last official update). You could try this from tour y latest backup if GPS was working there though. You might also have better luck with butcherbay's kernel. Here is the link to factory software if you need it:

pretty thx for the cm13,did it have ambient display?
It has CyanogenMod's version of ambient display. You just have to enable it and the wake up on pick up gesture. I use this all the time.

Wait, ROM was updated to day 24?
Technically I updated it on March 23 late at night my local time, but yes, the 24th according to the CyanogenMod git repository.

Compufreek's ROM will do the trick.

What is meant by "set gps to device only"?
I have changed to cf's rom and am on lollipop 5.1. I have gone into settings and turned on my GPS, then installed google maps and have locked into my location. Now do I just reboot into recovery and install the new marshmallow rom?

I will wipe everything when I do the install.

Yes but do a backup and save in case you need to do it again.

So been using this ROM for almost a days now. Moved from CFs ROM. A couple of observations
Speed is pretty much the same. Maybe slightly faster.
1. WiFi only works with custom kernel
2. Cannot figure out how to get gestures working
3. Google maps navigation doesn't work properly
4. Ambient display only works on getting a new message. Doesn't work when I pick up the phone. Miss Moto display
5. Battery life seems to be better

I'm using this for almost a week, since the first day of release, with custom kernel since the first day.
My observations:

Battery life is the best I've had with Moto Maxx.

It's as much smooth as resurrection remix, maybe a bit better.

Good performance at games

Did I already say that it has the best battery I had with Moto maxx?

Everything is working fine for me, since I don't use ambient display.

Don't know about CM13, but in CM12.1 the pick up the phone gesture is a different setting. There's wave, pick up phone, etc. Ambient has better control settings than Moto Display.

After you turn on Ambient, then you decide what all you want it to do.

See this post for the screenshots.

Yes, it's 12.1 but you get the idea. Probably the same or very similar in CM13.

I've had a couple of reboots today, but I haven't tried to pin down the cause, yet. I am using xposed, gravity box and a few other apps that might have an effect. But, it does run pretty good, otherwise.

I just uninstalled gravity box. As much as I like some of their options, I think it might be part of the problems I've had. Let me give it a day or two now.
