Very good
For those who would like to try AtomicOS Oreo, here is a link to my latest build.
Everything is functioning properly as far as I know, except for the connection to Android Auto. For some reason, this is the only rom I've built that Android Auto doesn't even see the phone connected.
Anyway, it's a great rom
I am not sure if this is related to the issue you have with Android Auto, but I am not getting media playback through Google Play Music or Phonograph for either phone speaker or wired headphones (used with included Xiaomi 3.5mm to USB-C adapter). Bluetooth works fine, however. I also have media audio in YouTube, Facebook, and other apps in the phone speaker and headphones. It just seems to be music apps.
What I've done:
-Full wipe and installed your build from March 10th with the 4.4.78 kernel. (Sun, March 11th) Used OpenGapps 8.1 X64 nano Gapps. Had audio in Play Music on boot. Lost audio after connecting to Bluetooth earbuds. (TouchTwo Wireless Earbuds)
-Wiped app data. Still gone.
-Uninstalled and reinstalled Google Play Music. Still no sound in GPM.
-Cache wipe. No help.
-Full System/Data/Cache wipe and reflashed the same build and Gapps package. This time did not have media audio in GPM on boot like the initial installation.
Hopefully this leads you closer with your Android Auto issue unless it is unrelated. In the meantime, I will keep plugging away at potential solutions until I go back to your Nougat builds of XenonHD.
Hi everyone, I truly apologize for being silent for so long. I've been working on some 8.1 roms, focusing mostly on AtomicOS. That rom has some pretty nice options compared to LineageOS, XenonHD (7.1), and so on. It's almost ready, but I'm having a problem getting Android Auto to work.
For me, that is really important, so that's what's holding me back from releasing the rom. Otherwise, everything else seems to work. I've tried to build XenonHD Oreo, but that hasn't worked well yet. I'll give it another go to see if they've got things more developed.
Anyway, just wanted to offer an update.
I do not know why. . I installed this rom. When playing with a music player, there is no sound from the speakers and the hands rotate. However, there are sounds in the mobile phone's alert tone, such as ringtones and alarms. However, this issue is normal in China's official MIUI rom. . . And, I installed the global version of rom first, then installed this rom. . . . Strangely enough, the music player still had sounds when I first installed this rom. . . I really like this rom. . . Chinese version of MIUI rom ads too much, and there will be a variety of excessive permissions. .
The above is Google Translate. My English is not good. . Sorry. .:crying:
Is it xenon hd rom you're using? Which build date? Was the global rom you installed first android 7 or 8?
Yes, this ROM package file name is
"XenonHD-180105-Unofficial-chiron.zip".
The global version of the fastboot file name is
"chiron_global_images_V9.5.4.0.ODEMIFA_20180315.0000.00_8.0_global_d8f2f1f5fb.tgz".
Is that right??
But where is the firmware n7.0..... I can't find it....:crying:
What you and other developers have managed to do without kernel source is pretty impressive and there are many who appreciate all the effort (myself Included). What was released a few weeks ago, was that not full kernel source?
The mi6 has a decent enough selection of near perfect ROMs since source has been released so I'm hoping once they are released for this it will be similar. The one thing I'm hoping will improve when this happens is battery life, I get around 2 hours more when in time using miui than stock atm. Is a big difference.
I can partial agree with you ..mix 2 is a great phone but development sucks.....
Look at OP5T ..
Just released and they are 4 custom kernels & first Oreo ROMs already dropped...!!....
I would really love to buy this phone but when I'm visiting this forum getting disappointed....
