Hiya guys,

I am about to migrate from pinky as his support for his rom has died... so i just don't think 2.0 is ever going to turn up and 1.8 is starting to play up a bit. It is a sad moment for as i have been here since v0.1! I haven't experienced any other ROM. anyhow, I just need to a couple of things (but i just can't read through the 11k posts).

Does Lee's ROM allow for blocking of ads both in apps and in browser ?

Are there any issues restoring apps you used with pinky when using leedroid?

Villan ROM, where is it and is it any better than leedroid?

I switched over to LeeDroid 2.2e a couple of days ago and 2.2f got released yesterday evening! I used Titanium to do a backup of the users apps then restored them after flashing LD - no issues except not having the Pro Titanium meant I had to confirm each of the 93 app re-installs :-S Restore most other pertinent system settings I'd saved as well such as Wifi hotspots etc. after I'd restored and rebooted as well.
LD does have ad-blocker but I haven't noticed if it works in browser, it edit's the hosts file so in theory I suppose it *should*

I've used LeeDroid, Opendesire, Defrost (5.8, 5.9, 6.0) since Pinky 1.8. All of them have good points and are stable enough for everyday use but I keep going back to SuperVillainRom with the Richard Trip v5e kernel. Boootiful.

Are you using the alternate lockscreen? I found I had to use the standard HTC lockscreen to be able to snooze/turn-off the alarm back when I was using Pinky. I did try the alternate lockscreen and quite liked the look but had to disable it for that very reason.

I had the same problem when I was on Pinky's rom cos I was using the stock android lockscreen. If your using the stock lockscreen, install Alarm Clock Plus from the market - its free - then you'll be able to dismiss\snooze alarms.

Hi,

I have Pinky ROM installed and loving it.

I have just got a new SD card that I want to stick into my phone but need to backup the EXT3 partition. I cant do this because ubuntu wont let me access to the partition to back it up.

I created the partition with ROMManager. Does anyone have any ideas how i can backup the EXT3 partition to my new card?

Thank.

make a nandroid backup from recovery...this also backup the ext...now copy the content of the old to the new card and go to recovery again...make a full wipe (data factory reset) and restore your nandroid backup...and you are done :)

with kind regards..Alex

Hi,
so far i like this ROM, but the kernel is kinda slow.
so i flashed the HAVS Kernel with 1190MHz. Gave me +400pts in Quadrant, but also caused wifi to stop working and sometimes browser crashes.

What can i do to fix this?

I found out also that Pinky won't work with other kernels, first I tried SDcard speed fix kernel, then one from richard. Both times wifi stopped working.

Guess it's time for you to move on from pinky!

But if you wish to stick with pinky, flash the rom with no wipes etc. It will replace the kernel with stock one if I am not completely wrong.

I just tried a Factory Reset and the same error occured again:

Sorry The application Settings (process com.android.settings) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

This is the first thing you see when the setup wizard starts. When you hit Force Close you end up at the onscreen keyboard page.

    What should I do?

Thank you for the great rom pinky, great job. I have a question: how can I add romanian language to the HTC keyboard?
