I installed this ROM yesterday on my OnePlus 3T and have a problem with it. Sometimes apps freeze and I can't do anything else than hitting the power button. The screen is then black and only the status bar is visible. I have to wait for like 10s until the UI restarded.
It happened to me in the settings, but also with 3rd party apps. Most of the time it happens after I made an input.

Try it for a couple of days. I use it on my Android tablet and haven't noticed such problems. But I would definitely prefer it over UC. This browser is, if I remember correctly, atleast 20 times more popular on iOS compared to UC. Even the Android version is very capable compared to other browsers.

Ok ! if u tried, i will also try for few days. Its size is larger than uc. Anyway thnx. I didn't knew about this.

I wiped Cache, Dalvik, System and Data. Then I flashed the firmware 5.0.8 and afterwards I flashed ROM + OpenGApps pico. After booting I configured everything, restarded to flash Magisk and then I restored the Google Backup and the Titanium Backup in the OS.

Edit: It was a system app from my previous LineageOS that was backed up with Titanium. I selected only the apps I needed and everything's fine now

Bluetooth pairing doesn't seem to work as expected. Everything else works like it should, but when I try to pair, other devices can see my phone, but other devices don't show up.

Just in case it might be useful for someone in the future, I got the bug again. This time, I was able to fix it:
Go to Settings -> System -> Reset Options -> Reset app preferences
If that doesn't work, try "Reset Wi-Fi, mobile & Bluetooth" as well.

On the latest versions (clean flash) i am still getting the no sim unlock bug.
When the data partition contains encryption the sim card screen is usually not shown and needs to be triggered manually by enabling air plane mode.

MadKernel Reborn 8 has terrible battery life. Just as seen on your screenshot. Couldn’t keep it for more than 2 cycles. Just flashed HolyDragon latest. Lets see if it holds on well.

Here are my observations on your statistics:

1. Aloha browser is lighter (about 40% less consumption) on battery compared to UC. I don’t know how you concluded otherwise.

2. MadKernel seems to be better for gaming, from battery consumption point of view.

I have reverted to HDK and my battery life is back to normal (double of what I was getting from Mady v8). So for my use, HDK is better.

Overall, you are still getting better battery with HDK based on those stats.

As with UC, I will never use that crap. Trust factor gone. Is there anything Aloha couldn’t download for you?

I'm not sure if this is a 9.0 question or rom one as this is my first 9.0 rom but does anyone elses notification sound not allows go off? Seems like when I'm in a back and forth it will only vibrate and make no sounds (doesn't matter if screen is off or on) if a couple minutes go by then it will make the sound. I also noticed the sound gets cut off half way through sometimes so I tried switching the sound to different but still same issue.

Workaround for this is that you have to hide google pay in magisk hide and if that doesn't work further go ahead and deny telephone permission for google play services app.
Then try registering it should work.

Hi.

This approach works but is temporary. The moment we allow telephone permission for the play services app as it needs this for other apps to function properly Google Pay stops working. Looking for a more permanent solution.
