The first two ff are for opacity
The last six ffffff are hexadecimal value for color ,in this case white.

MD5 checksum errors
I made an interesting discovery that might assist when getting an MD5 checksum error when installing this rom...
I downloaded V2.2 and extracted the V2.2.rar file on my mobile using Root Explorer. I then moved the extracted V2.2 folder to the clockworkmod/backup folder and proceeded with the installation, to be halted by the dreaded MD5 checksum error.
I then took the same downloaded rar file and extracted it on my PC using Winrar. I then copied the PC extracted folder to the clockworkmod/backup folder. This time all worked perfectly.
The moral of the story... be weary of using Root Explorer to extract large zipped folders.

Sadly I can't get it to work, I get an error message saying this is not a Blur device when trying to use home switcher and moto home fix from the market.
I'm using currently using LauncherPro, for some reason I can't recall but would love to use the 3D blur home.

Have you tried renaming the BlurHome2.apk to BlurHome.apk?
Renaming it will not help. Wipe data, restore system , instal blur3d.zip and then restore your data. Blur email has problems though. Good luck
