Isn't working here... It was before but not after i restored the last time.

It just opens the marken, i select the app and then the download bar appears and after 5sec it disappears, nothing downloaded or installed :X

I'm trying to make a wipe but i can't acess normal recovery, i see the green android but pressing the bottom right does nothing!

Help someone!!

Edit: Found it, VOL DOWN + UP same time to access it xD

SuperUser wasn't there after wipe, only milestone, hummm.

Market is now working btw

Edit: Installed SuperUser manually and no difference :| same bug, really don't know what to do

Edit2: Is there anyway to get CWM working? Would like to test the radio files

Hey Dex,

There is some discussion back in the DesireHD forum, saying that 1.72 isn't rootable. Maybe the problem is there, many of them are downgrading to 1.32. I think it has to be you doing something about it since there is no root i can't test radio settings or other things to solve the call problem.

Let us know when u have the time to do something about it, because until now i think no one found a way to root 1.72 in the hd forum :|

i get CWM working.
i opened the superuser app and let it open, excluded it from all task killers and it stay open all time. i installed the file you gave me and it works.
at least it doesn´t fc.it reboots but not enter to recovery, only reboots normal.

i opened the superuser app and let it open, excluded it from all task killers and it stay open all time. i installed the file you gave me and it works.
at least it doesn´t fc.it reboots but not enter to recovery, only reboots normal.

my current solution uses /sdcard/recovery_mode (as mentioned in post #1)
but CWM uses /data/.recovery_mode, which can be easily fixed..

i can rollback to my beta desirehd image, there the sqlite works ok, maybe even phone calling works, that for me to find out when xt720 is ok...

hey you can pass us your beta 1.32 version to test it for you.
i think your solution is better because i now i have adb on boot which helps me a los when doing changes, like themes...

Actually a little funny searching desire forums for a defy tweak/solution

here is my patch solution.. copy the attached file(remove .zip extension, so its dexter_patch.tgz) to the root of your sdcard and reboot phone, and its installed during bootup automatically.

the patch resolve the su problem, and changes the bootup behaviour, so you can boot into recovery using the "defy recovery" app, which is now added too.

remember the patch you downloaded was not intended for a motorola mobile, so i dont think when it mount's "MTD" system, it will not find the correct device, and what happens i dont know, but i guess you found out.

So do you think it was the superuser method i used instead of the radio.zip that caused the bootloop? If so i should remove my post xD

By the way, does somebody as the barcode scanners working properly on it?
despite i remove the wide option in camera mode, every barcode scanner apps didn t work for me.

If somebody has an idea how to tweak/fix it, that would be great.

nevertheless, the defy is awesome with that new rom!
