now I only can get to download mode. If I reboot or try to get to recovery I get "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again"



In download mode I've tried flashing twrp again with the same result.

Managed to flash Philz with Odin 3.09... will try step 7 from Philz...

Running Android 4.3... it seems that with no issues... have mobile network and connected to wifi with no problem, going through the config now
(followed you on Android Revolution btw).

Philz should flash a rom ok but dont use it to back up and restore.something to do with how the file systems laid out.
try for twrp again, that one works fine
you can flash this zip (http://goo.gl/LjdBwT) through philz to update to twrp

Noooooo in fact id advise against that! If you wanna makr sure all the internals are updated then flash stock dmg1 but you dont *need* to do that unless your suffering fcs and reboots. Only thing youll need to flash is the mj5 bootloader

I know this is the wrong place to be asking this, but I've been searching for hours and I keep getting fragments of the information I need, and they don't tie together to give me the whole piece of the pie...
Anyway, if anyone would be so kind... My friend's phone is running V3.9 (MG1) of this ROM and she would like to take it in for warranty. So I need to find out how to get the flash counter back to 0, unroot the phone, then install the stock firmware. I'm getting contradicting info that I need to use triangle away on pre-rooted firmware, and another says i should be on stock firmware to use triangle away. Anyway, if anyone can kindly give me a link to the whole process of unrooting, resetting flash counter, and installing stock firmware to get warranty capabilities back it would be much appreciated! Thanks...

Download the prerooted stock dmg1 firmware from here http://d-h.st/s9I. Give the phone a full wipe.including internal storage and flash dmg1 with odin using the pda tab (link above)
Install and do the triangle away thing.
download the correct rom for your phone and carrier from sammobile.com and flash that with odin. Job done.

flash stock firmware 4.1.2 --> root --> install triangle away to reset counter --> unroot --> re-flash stock firmware 4.1.2

But i'm now left with a tablet - no phone functionality.

IMEI shows null/null.
BASEBAND unknown.
SIM is not detected.

Is there any way back?

this usually happens when upgrading the bootloader then downgrading it

It's all good now - I did a Firmware Upgrade Initialization through Kies - and i've got my IMEI and BASEBAND back.

wanamlite and arhd were always very similar, personally I used wanamlite because of csc problems with arhd. Id test a KK offering by wanam if he ever decided to give it a go but without a handset makes it hard to test. Alas we still have ARHD and others such as offerings from Cosmyndemeter and more, really no need go off about it is there

Anyways bro we really wanna see Wanam lite, and difference is clear, after sometime whatever ROMs I have tried by ARHD started to slow down, not only on Note 2, but in DHD, Sensation as well, Note 2 is my 1st Sammy device and Wanam is snappier and it remained the same doesn't matter how long you have been using it, There's some difference, not only Arhd users, but all other ROM owners must not advertise their favourite, that's all I meant, please don't take it on your heart
