Warning, FAQs, Directions of use, ROM Download Link, Credits

WARNING TO THOSE USERS ON HBOOT 2.02.002!

HBOOT 2.02.002 does not allow the System/Lib partition to be FORMATTED or WRITTEN via Recovery and/or ROM Flash (updater-script), you will need to modify the updater-script of the ROM and remove the command to format System/Lib. Not doing so will always give you an error installing the ROM.

Directions of use: NEW

1. Flash the ROM to your phone.

2. Choose your preferred customization of the ROM. (Note: AROMA Installer may break if you've pressed "BACK" a couple of times. I'm not quite sure if it's my code is the problem or a bug on AROMA.)

3. Let the phone reboot itself, it may take more or less than 5~7 minutes depending on your customization.

4. Download the latest V6 Supercharger Script.

5. Set up SuperSU even if you're not connected to the net.

6. Install any Script Manager on your phone, and run the script as root and with su privilege.

7. Let the script initialize and choose your preferred settings on first run. (I chose Rock-Hard on Kernel, then YES to all other settings.)

8. It is recommended to install the options 16, 22, then 32 when you are done.

9. Let the phone reboot and witness how blazing fast your phone is.

FAQsNEW
Hey! Changelog is different from the xda-site than on the phone?
I was not able to change the one on the ROM. I was out for a couple of weeks, I just updated the apps and kernel when I got back to xda and uploaded the ROM. I could have done a few things more, like the widgets being installable or not via AROMA, and a tweaks and other stuff but felt like this should be ok. Thus, also suggesting this is final. I'm going to be trying my own port of Desire X to Desire S from now on.

V6 Supercharged, but why do I still need to run the script?
The ROM is V6 Supercharger-ready. Necessary files for the script has been modified. I DID NOT intentionally added a pre-set setting for the ROM as for you to choose your own. Giving you the freedom to change something if you want to. The script is necessary for the other changes.

Can I install this on older HBOOTs?
I will not support HBOOTs lower than v2.xx. This maybe is time for you to upgrade.

How do I upgrade my HBOOT then?
Here's a guide.

I am on HBOOT v2.02.002, and I don't want to put up with the System/Lib problem, any solution?
You have two choices: either you modify the updater-script of the ROM (takes a minute), specifically, you need to remove the line that formats the partition "mmcblk0p28", or just put a "#"(hash tag) prior to the command;
Or you can downgrade to HBOOT 2.00.002 using a downgrade guide(takes about 5 to 10 minutes). You can try my own, check my sig.
RUUs with v1.xxx have HBOOTs with v0.98.000, while v2.xxx have HBOOTs with 2.00.002. The latest ICS RUU has the HBOOT v2.02.002.

Does not boot after flashing. What gives?
Flash the KERNEL(boot.img) manually via fastboot. Please use search on how to.

My WiFi doesn't turn on. WTF?!
See answer above. If you are on HBOOT v2.02.002, check the warning above. You will need to manually copy the files found on the "lib\modules" folder from the ROM zip file to your phone's "system\lib\modules" folder directory. Overwrite all files.

Does this has the xxx language as you said its complete?
I cannot and will not enlist the languages that are supported here. But these are all from the RUU's and ROMs that I used to have then combined all of them. Here's the list of the "codes".

Everytime my keyboard is up, there's something on my status bar. What's up with that?
It's a feature that let's you choose your keyboard. Useful for other languages. You can remove it by disabling the other keyboards. Use search on how to disable apps on ICS. You may either turn-off or remove ZingKey and/or Thai Keyboard.

The installation guide is wrong.
1) wipe
2) flash the ROM
3) flash the kernel

If you would flash the kernel first and then wipe, you would wipe the kernel...

It's not. It really doesn't matter which one you flash first, ROM or KERNEL. Because HTC-DEV unlocked cannot flash the KERNEL via RECOVERY.

There may also be a problem with the HBOOT 2.02.002 as it does not want to wipe/format the system/lib partition via RECOVERY as experienced from the CHS OTA release. But it can be overwritten.

Still first wipe than flash...
Flashing the kernel then wiping won't work!

If you have wiped the boot.img as well, then maybe you are right. But check my instructions again. Did you see something I said to wipe the boot.img?

Nope, but in 4ext recovery is the option wipe everything except SD-card and most people use that to wipe...
That also wipes the kernel :)
Are we friends again ?

I have already.. But..

Bad news for the owners of old hboots (6.98.xxxx and 0.98.2000), including myself: system + libs = 644 MB, so the new ROM will be flashable only on the new ones >= 2.00.2002, or it has to be excessively cleaned (to delete 100+ MB or move some apps to /data)

Will look into it when I have the free time again. Right now I'm testing the ROM.

Font Size

I am probably being stupid but I cannot decrease the font size. There is a setting within GMail but this does nothing. Came from Primo S where it was possible. Any suggestions.
PS Get update from HTC - Camera seems much improved and now have my WiFi tethering back!

Seems cool, are there some differences between this and mirok's way to install and then root with superSU ?
Except for the installation process.

Hi,

I think I found a bug:
I'm using my phone a lot with a headset, but the mic doesn't seem to work anymore (had the same issue with a custom rom a while ago, but it was working fine on cm7)

Anyone who can confirm the issue?

Can anybody tweak this ROM for old hboot .98xxxx ?

It will be very helpfull for all old hboot users.

    Thanks

May or may not come out, or it will be really difficult. I have scanned/run-through possible files to be moved to the Data partition, or can be removed, and it seems it's not going to be enough to free 100+mb. Check this post..

I do not have a very fast internet connection. A bit more appreciation would be helpful. I'm just waiting for this to finish it's upload so I can sleep. It's 4:11 am here in our country.
