Anyone else have a problem whitelisting apps from doze/battery optimizations..? Or is that a 'feature' of emui?
That's handled by the Phone Manager app. Is it in this ROM or maybe debloated Huawei app?

I think you are talking about Phone Manager, "HwSystemManager".

I posted about it here.

I think this should work with any B160 ROM. I found that the files are different than earlier versions and only B160 files will work on a B160 ROM. I would do a backup before trying it out.

I hope this is helpful.

Working B160 files for the Phone Manager, HwSystemManager:

Code:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzpixsDRjpfQU1Q2aVZweTNGN3c/view?usp=sharing
Copy the HwSystemManager folder to /system/priv-app/ in your root directory and permissions need to be set.

Permissions:
Folders are rwxr-xr-x or 7-5-5 and files are rw-r-r or 6-4-4

I did a quick checksum and the files are different from B130 to B160.

is there perhaps a mirror to v4 available? AFH is absolutely horrendous. its roughly 7 hours download time on all servers, and repeatedly fails like 3 hours into the download every time. spent so much time trying to download this...

Edit: scratch that, finally got it to download. Whew

So just flashed the ROM. No issues there.

But....is there any reason "mobile network" settings we're removed?....I have no data now, and there's no way to edit my APN settings...

Pull down from the top / shortcuts
Find mobile data icon
Long hold, it will take you to the settings

OK this is no doubt a noob question and I feel like a douche for having to ask. I've been using the ROM a couple of weeks and so far it's awesome. However, after unlocking my bootloader, every time I reboot I get this obnoxious message about how the phone can't be trusted and then I have to hit the power button to continue. Is there any way to re-lock the bootloader, or otherwise get rid of this message?

Thanks!

Don't be so hard on yourself :) . Everyone who unlocked the bootloader has to deal with the message - no solution. You don't have to hit the power button as the phone will start booting automatically after five seconds - but yeah it kills me to wait sometimes so I hit the button :) .

..snip..
Thank you so much! Worked like a charm! Even disabling everything I could in the phone manager app, I'm getting much better performance and battery life. Seems like it's not a great idea to remove an instrinic system app, just because it carries the manufacturer's name..

To clsa, do you have a list of everything you've removed..? I've been having a problem receiving push notifications, as well as some strange other issues, and am wondering if they can be chalked up to the removal of another necessary app..

And here's to hoping for an AOSP rom eventually!

I love this ROM, however there's one huge problem for me... I use VoIP, which means Google Voice for texts and Skype/Hangouts for calls.

None of which seem to be "ignoring battery optimizations", and the battery optimization settings don't work. Neither from the battery optimization setting page, or by going into "Apps", selecting the app, then clicking battery optimizations (does nothing).

So for Voice, I have to manually refresh my texts to receive them, and Skype/Hangouts calls just wont come in at all.

Anyone have a workaround for this?

I also noticed the Youtube Music app is "incompatible" with my device, which I use heavily, but I can probably figure that out myself. Does anyone know how to get this ROM to allow Google Voice/Hangouts/Skype to run in the background??

Edit: Email works just fine, it seems. So I at least get an email if I miss a call, however I can't receive them at all. And my plan has no minutes so I can't use the native dialer.

See post 45-47. Not sure if you installed that Phone Manager apk or not. I get Google Voice and Hangouts notifications with my stock root debloated Xposed XT.

Thank me and others who help you by hitting the thanks button - thumbs up icon. Glad it fixed the problem. Too much debloating has consequences :) .

Exactly! Haha

To expand, though, that's what I was getting at with my last post.. Phone manager fixed, but still have problems with push notifications. Not just with hangouts gv sms's, but most apps that use gcm as well fb messenger (not always, but often).

Tried several things, including pnf fixer, but no real luck yet..
