[Rom][3.4 Kernel][4.4.4] CarbonRom [23rd November]

I've flashed latest build (23rd) yesterday and WOW. This is the best&fastest ROM for our senny. But I've experienced few random hang outs while charging (3 during 5 minutes of using phone). Screen freezes, I can't do anything with phone, I must pull of battery. I use double swap and stock kernel. What might be the cause?

I'm not experiencing this on latest build. If you could try to get logs or something I could try to have a look at it.

There is a common issue that I've found in all CM11 ROM I've tried (except the last from SultanXda): after one or two days they become slower, and slower, and slower...and my question is: why???

At the moment I'm on sultan's last built, the only one that seems to keep performances on good level, also after one week

I'm not having that problem either, but might be related to to many apps?

Sure. I'll try to get one, today or tommorow it's random so you know . I have also broken battery in my sensation but I can recognize freeze and random reboot .

I've uploaded a new build.
Beside the kernel and device tree changes (from cm-11.0 branch), carbonrom made a fix for chrome always starting in floating mode.

Since I use this rom myself as a daily driver and I feel it's totally stable, this might be the last update for kitkat carbon and I'll try to bring up lollipop carbonrom.

Hi @Sajito, in your opinion which ROM is better? This one or Liquidmooth?. Also, which one has the best battery life? Thanks a lot, and keep up with the great job.

To be honest I can't say, because I never really used LiquidSmooth. I ported it because I wanted to use it, but carbonrom keeps me satisfied and I never had time to test liquidsmooth. So I don't know about battery life either, sorry.

I'm not having that problem either, but might be related to to many apps?

Maybe some lags are related with GoLauncher. Disabled it and the feedback seems to be better.

Still have other lags expecially using whatsapp and aquamail.

Continue to investigate...

guys, just wanted to drop a line in here to say thank you for the support with my aging sensation. I have had an upgrade and am unlikely to take the senny out the drawer again, it did me proud for 3 years thanks to the efforts of some amazing devs on here. Thank you!

I've had bad experience with CM ROMs , for example: low battery life, terrible camera, shortcuts disappear from screen etc etc. But what I got with this ROM is speed, smoothness, good battery life. Camera is terrible as on other CM ROMs (comparing to Venom and expecialy Revolution with unlocked camera), sound is not that good, it's a bit quiet comparing to Venom ROM, i don't have battery leaks as on other ROMs so I'm happy with that, and no phone resets/shut downs when trying to take a picture with lower then 20% of battery! Overall I'm happy, got quickly used on it if only there's a way to improve those things I said as cons to me to improve sound while listening some music since it's kinda 30-40% lower/weaker and that camera

For sound you can try something like Viper4Android. Camera will always be better on sense based roms.

This won't get any updates anymore, since the kitkat carbon source wasn't updated anymore after this update. I used the latest version available here very long and I found it stable enough to stop it here.

what sort of % remaining did you have on the battery, some of the other ROM threads carry notices about anything below 20% is enough to cause a reboot or shutdown if the flash is used.

Not the rom drains your battery, your usage does. Also it depends on what you're used to.
You won't have as good battery life as on any sense based rom.

Well, don't use your phone too much?

Maybe explain what you mean when you say it drains your battery. Screen On time? Total time running on battery without charging? Anything else that might be interesting?

Sometimes i charged till 100% and left it alone. But after few hours the battery level drop till 20%. (Wifi is not on and is in airplane mode)
