Just flashed this, so far so good, but it's a lot slower than stock Touchwiz on 4.1.2. Was I supposed to tick all the performance mods during installation? Because I only selected the first aggressive one. I assume more performance means more battery drain, or do they not affect battery life? As I was coming from jellybean 4.1.2 (old) I also had to flash an EFS update, my SIM was getting no service otherwise, might be helpful to mention this in the OP for noobs like me (thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/newly-installed-rom-wont-recognize-sim-t2741842).

I also can't find a way to customise the lock screen shortcuts, I've looked but there's no option for it. Is there also no way to use the flashlight with the home button? Coming from CM 4.4.4 this rom feels a bit backwards, yet it's the most popular rom.

i flashed the ROM and ticked the backup efs option. After booting i got a null/null IMEI how can i restore my efs? Note that i didn't install samsung tools.

I just had that problem myself. If you were on 4.1.2 before then your EFS is v1 but anything after 4.3 uses EFS v2, so this rom can't read your v1 EFS. All you need to do is flash the new modem in recovery and you're done: http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=5557

What Kernel are you using I downloaded the boeffla kernel rom 7.7 and the apk run good.

I also get a lot of lag and crashing, it's much slower than stock, but I didn't install the performance mods which I might do later. Did you?

i did installed all mods after several tries i switched to another rom and quite satisfied with it

I don't understand the problems you are having with this ROM. I have 3 GT-I9300 and have install the Note 4 S5 editions on each one and so far I have no problems with it, did you install the Boeffla Kernel also. This is ROM is very good and fast. I advice you to try to Format in recovery mode and then do a clean installment of the ROM, back up first your important files on your External SD card.

Hey guys! I'm gonna give this ROM a try. I haven't been using my i9300 for quite a while though
so if you could please enlighten me here...
I'm currently on stock 4.3 and latest TWRP 2.8.6.1
All I need to do is:

- Full wipe/factory reset
- Flash the ROM zip
- Flash Patch V3 (?) what exactly is that for?
- Flash theming zip ?

Do I need to flash gapps here?
It gets confusing after a couple years of being used to Nexus devices, haha

Full wipe/factory reset. Just flash the rom zip file no Gapps already there and then get the Kernel Boeffla 7.7 and the Apk on play store. If you have any problems after installation like unfortunately stop running. Backup your files and do a Format on your cell just in case any bugs left on, do a clean installment and start from scratch. then flash the ROM zip file.

The same way you do all Custom Roms

1. Download ROM
2. Copy zip file to Extsdcard of the Cellphone
3. Reboot into recovery mode.
4 Wipe/Cache clean
5. goto install and look up the zipfile Rom
6. Flash it. install it

It will start the installation it takes about 5 min or so
will go into logo then Desktop do all your configuration and setup on cell.
enjoy.

hey man..i got insert simcard problem. my device didnt detect any simcard. already change a couple of sim, but nothing works..
when i open the mobile network, it appear insert simcard. how do i fix it?

its the 5th release of the rom, version 3 is the updated, thats why its Revolutionary S5 V3 in the thread name, we release V1, V1.x, V2, V2.x, and V3
all major releases came with an update a short time later to fix bugs from the major changes
