Of course, just use the google play store (market) and download any launcher you want. My personal favorite is Apex Launcher.
I'm on crappy DSL so it takes awhile to get the rom, what did you end up using for a battery icon?

It looks the same because changing the UI is a dealbreaker for the majority of people. Unfortunately, if you post here, you're likely a 1%'er and not in a money way. In software development, it's a huge challenge to design a UI that people will accept, and there's a lot of resistance to changing that once your customers have voted with their dollars and have adopted your product.
I'd be willing to bet that making the new base look and feel the same as the old is the biggest holdup in getting these updates to market.
Look at iOS. We love to hate it, but they move more units than anyone else. The UI hasn't changed, really, at all. It's your app drawer, but people buy that consistency.

does settings force close in this when looking at battery stats and touch anything to get more in depth? (like to check screen on time, etc), this happens in the bone stock leak
Huh... so Tasks rom doesn't disconnect the wifi but this one does, what tweaks did you do? Even the heimdall version doesn't disconnect and I never saw that lockscreen lockup bug on those versions.

If this is a leaked "official" rom, then why when I connect usb to pc it pops up as GT-9100? Just curious not trashing

I always wipe regardless of if it is not needed just to be on the safe side.
Ook well I'm a dumb, I shouldn't speak out of my ass. It was an old windows pop up from prior to the flash

This is a leak of an unofficial firmware, so it's going to be a while before you see kernels based on this. If I'm not mistaken, you first need an official release (of the official firmware), and sometime after that, Samsung will drop source code for that kernel. Then kernels based on that release kernel source can start.
I don't think the i9100 source that recently dropped is the same as this kernel's source. Unless it is. Then someone will yell at me.
Ouch, just settled with pure leak from heimdall, debloated, and you release yours... guess I'll wait a day to see what comes next. So far leak is fine, but i miss aosp ics colors tho.
