I have few hrs today before i head out on vacations and tchaari has dissappeared . So if you can test it rightaway and are comfortable debugging etc, reply here.

Haha, No problem. Sorry I couldn't get the logcats for the non booting ones. I don't have access to a PC with adb. I can only pull logcats from terminal emulator after boot up. If the rom boots I can test and provide a logcat if there are issues or bugs

Side note: you're on vacations a lot. haha

I don't think that it is a good guess because some beta testers are running slim bean on prerelease on nexus s since more than 5 days
Krarvind is on vacations and he will be back by the end of this week
This doesn't exclude that krarvind is cherry picking from aokp

As Tchaari just said, Krarvind is on holidays but we have tested already the "beginning" of Slim JB.

Hope he is back soon and bring his master job back to our devices now with Android 4.1

Yeah guys, let's admit it. Our phone is getting old. We can rejoice all we want about the NS still getting the latest flavors of Android but the truth is that our phones are struggling with a platform that is slowly being optimized for more powerful devices.

As for me, I'm just happy we got the update this time around, and always keep a charger or USB cable within reach.

Jelly Bean has many practically useless features like voice actions, "tag", face unlock, sound recognition etc... The whole embedded search has never been useful to me too...so, by uninstalling all these features, someone can save a lot of battery and memory...I guess.

While there is no recovery image provided with v2.0, i recommend trying out the TWRP (everything touch screen) or CWM 5.0.2.3 ( better confirm menus)

Fresh/Clean Installation Instructions:
Pre-Requisites: need to have CWM recovery or TWRP recovery installed.

• Enter Recovery
• Recommended: do a nandroid back up
• Wipe data/factory reset
• optional: format system in mounts and storage for extra clean install
• select slimICS_vX.X.X.zip to install and wait for it to finish
• optional: select addon.zip and face_unlock.zip to install and wait for it to finish
• reboot to system.

Coming from another 4.0.3 Rom :

• A simple wipe cache and Install the zip file should do it.

Once rebooted, you will most likely see a blank screen. Press the soft menu key and preferences to customize you zeam launcher.

• Fast Charge in Kernel and Controlled via ASS - thanks to chad0989 for FC patch - Turned off by default, take a look at this post for how it works.
• Free Mem increase via kernel and device ( increase of about 40 MB) - thanks to Kali of CM team for source, i get about 200 MB free with 60 data apps installed, increase of about 50 MB.
