Been using this ROM for a week now with no problems at all. I would say it's the best ROM I've tried so far, and I've tried a lot. Only minor irritation for me was only having Swype keyboard as I hate Swype lol

(but the easiest way is to re-flash it with stock rom :D,but i don't want to do that)

I'll try and update this ROM this week sometime, the reason I've been AWOL from this thread is work.. 10 hour shifts for 7 days straight, so I really don't feel like working on this after doing that :p
I don't think it needs a lot of work boss. It's almost perfection itself. I have had the odd hang pop up on me the past two days though. Thought it was the Launcher I installed (SGS3 one) but went back to complete stock and still had the same issues.

Seems to be the first time I fire up selected apps and/or settings. After they've booted once it's fine, but the first boot will 'fade to black' sometimes. Examples for me were Papyrus (beta), Tapatalk and ROM Toolbox Pro.

Otherwise, I'm really loving it. Thanks for the hard work. I can sympathise with you on the long shifts atm :good:

I'm using this rom a week now, and it's really great, fast-smooth-stable enough for first version out of the box.
I'd like to see Samsung keyboard back, swype is not my friend:eek:
Camera software seems very laggy, especially while capturing video.

Enjoy your summer holidays:)

Here you go mate: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1433071

You should be able to push that to /system/app and install as normal with root explorer or something similar. It's just an .apk :good:

Don't forget to drop a 'thanks' in his OP!

Also, I think your camera issue might be something else. I'm running the stock kernel (NoteCore 7.1) and mine's just fine :good:

Right now i'm using notecore 9, this might be the problem, i'll install v7 again and see...

By the way besides stock notecore v7 i've tried v8.1 and v9. With v8.1 i had overheating problems while charging so i dump it. V9 is ok but i noticed battery drain is a bit faster than v7. I'll switch back to v7 and see if camera software is better responsive.:good:

Switch off the phone , plug it in charger and see if this will charge or not, if yu see it being charged let it be charge for 1 to 2 hour the try to boo the rom if still the same issue then boot into recovery and wipe cache and delvik cache (dont wipe data)

try rebooting again this should be fine

Do let us know the result

So after flashing this I've lost the ability to enter CWM recovery, and 'adb root' returns the error 'adbd cannot run as root in production builds'

Fantastic.

OK, well let's forget the attitude and find you a fix :)

It overwrote my recovery, also (I was using a GB-based recovery for 'safe' flashing). After flashing, I pulled the battery and went into recovery, to be greeted with CWM 5.8.1.8. If you've completely lost your custom recovery, I'd recommend going back to a GB-based recovery (put the phone in download mode and use fastboot to flash a recovery.img), and re-downloading and flashing the ROM. My CWM works just fine, and I didn't touch it after install, so I'd say a wire or two has got crossed during your install.

As for root, just flash the attached SuperSU package once you regain a custom recovery. That should fix your ADB Root problem :good:

Hit me up if you need anything further.

Goodness me, another one? That's no good.

Well I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone, and if you have even the tiniest iota of doubt about it, forget it and keep your phone safe.

To flash anything, I go back to the GB-based Abyss kernel first. Once that's on, it provides a custom CWM Touch recovery itself. I use that to flash the ROM and the SuperSU zip, then wipe data and cache, then reboot.

When I reboot, the CWM touch is replaced with CWM, and I have rooted VillainROM. I've done this four times so far, but I'm always using the stock VR kernel and recovery.

Again this works fine for me, but if you have doubts please refrain from trying in case you brick your phone :) there's every chance that I'm just skating on thin ice, or I've got a 'good' Note this time.

Using it since 1 week...
As usual, smooth, stable and battery friendly.
I've just removed the "Force GPU" option in developer options since I felt that it was causing some lags especially while switching homescreens or in app drawer.

I concur. The battery life on this is awesome. Runs rings around Paranoid :good:

You can substitute/flash your.own bootanim easily enough, same as you would any other ROM. I actually went back though, I dig not having an animation personally :)
