So coming from v2 do i need to make a wipe data/factory reset? ugh i don't feel like setting the whole thing up again
I do that every time, less chance of having a problem when you wipe data/factory reset and also wipe dalvik cache. I just backup the apps/contacts/sms/mms with my backup pro and restore it again when im back in the new rom. takes all of 10 minutes. Changing settings doesn't take long.

This is ridiculous. Why can't everything be in one thread? At least this one is not as bad the other one with just a link and no instructions or any information...sheesh.

Well that depends of the user . If you restore your Apps+data or not which is better restore only Apps without data in that case can take you a bunch of time setting up all your apps with passwords and stuff plus an average user have 100+ apps in my opinion :D so it's quite annoying.
