for me it is the update of chimera for one simple reason
4.1.2 is far smoother than 4.2

maybe I didn't understand.
You find 4.1.2 smoother than 4.2.1?

yes any 4.1.2 based rom is way way smoother than 4.2 based roms
and Chimera is the best 4.1.2 rom available for the note

my note is running CM 10.1 with the standard CM kernel (3.0.31-CM-g7ce58e6)
Now my question: Can I flash the Rom without changing another kernel?
