Sorry but that's just nonsense. Recently a study has been released that clearly proofs the existence of the memory effect with LIon batteries. By the way, adding a "PERIOD!!!!" to a statement does not make it more true than it would be without.

been using Ultimate ROM v5.2 for quite a while now,
any plans of including 23 toggles, (actually i want to see 7 toggles in notification panel at a time including flashlight, now i have only 5 toggle displayed).
Thanks for this wonderful ROM.

I've just notice, why when I reset my Galaxy Note, now it's the second times, some of my programs missing. So I have to get it back from my Titanium Pro. Do anyone have the same problem?

Buying a new battery is ofc solving issues, but instead, just recalibrate your battery. The new batteries don't have memory effect anymore so there isn't any reason to go buy a new one (except if you can't get the calibration right...).

My Note is now almost 2 years old (bought january 2012) and as I flash different roms all the time, I drain the battery a lot and have to charge all the time. Still, on normal use I easily get 3-4 hours of screentime during a full day of usage after calibration properly...

My original battery(1.5 years old) has been slightly inflated already and I had some really bad % drops (from different levels to 15-5%) and flickering screen when battery was on 45% or less.

Now, when I have a new battery, let's go to try some new roms (Ultimate rom first).

They definitely are scrollable and can be configured from settings menu.

1. wipe factory
2. wipe cache
3. wipe dalvik
4. flash the rom

Philz is good, already into the rom, but you can also try out the other compatible kernels like Speedmod and HydracoreNirvana and see which one is better for your daily usage.

When you got stuck at the Samsung logo just hold power button until it will restart and see if it works. Always worked for me.

thats cause of this : calibrating data wouldnt be reset when you change your rom. so
just go and install a cm base rom like stunner2
then go to device setting(or n7000 setting) then enable the calibration data and place your note on a flat place then press calibrating botton.
now you can go back to ultimate and have right position in your apps and enjoy!

i am on gb 2.3.6 with cwm recovery already installed with the cf root kernel lc1 indian...do i need to flash a new cwm recovery ?? like the touch one philz before flashing the rom..my nandroid backup is made in the current cwm recovery will it work on the new recovery will flashing the rom automatically flash the new cwm 6 recovery? also i am a indian user will flashing the ultimate jb xxlt4 firmware cause any problems? as its a german firmwasre

Hallo and congratulations for your excellent work. I have recently bought a galaxy note from a friend which was rooted and flashed with the CF-Root 5.6 kernel (in CWM app) In settings it is "3.0.15-n7000xxlq3-cl646962". And the rom i think it is Alba XXLQ3 full by ethis. The point is that i want to update my phone with a JB 4.1.2 ROM, yours for instance, and i can't understand if its doable and safe, (eg compatibility) I am a complete newbie s forgive me but is there an easy way to do this?
