First of all, whoa I just installed this ROM and I have to say BRAVO to Jamie for this awesome package, really amazing.

I am having a strange issue that I don't know how to troubleshoot. I can't download any apps on Google play when connected to WiFi.My WiFi is working fine for everything else however. I can also download apps using cellular data network. Any Ideas ? Also is it safe to update core apps like Google search without breaking anything ?

Just a quick suggestion, but try re-flashing your gapps?

I don't know how you could "break" Google search with an update. Could you expand on your definition of break in this instance?

Thanks for the reply :) No idea why but it just started working fine with no changes besides adding my second Google account. Shrugs. I am fairly new to flashing ROMs so that was why I asked about updating apps. I did a nandroid backup so I figure if anything breaks I can always restore :)

After adding g-apps the android keyboard is completely non-functional

the android keyboard keeps forclosing after adding the G-app package. Any ideas on how to make this stop and work all together? Had to flash back to my old Rom because can't do nothing at all without a keyboard.

Hello.. Go to the Google Play Store and install the A.I. Keyboard on your Note as a test keyboard.. ( You may like it.. ) and see how it works for you. If not, Try re-installing the ROM & 4.1.2 Gapps.. one or the other should resolve your issue.. :cool:

In my defense, if it was something with my phone or as you stated "on my end" I would not be typing this room tu right now. I've flashed several roms and have not yet had one problem other than the looks of rhetoric com I side not like or the s pen features sis not work at all even though it was advertised to work flawlessly.
My phone is brand new only had it a couple of weeks aol I know its not my phone. It works flawlessly with other roms just not with yours!

Try pkdroid its pretty much P.A just updated. This ROM hasn't been updated in awhile. Everybody knows best huh jamie:D

Okay, let me ask you a question? are they planning on updating this Rom again or in the new feature? also are you's still working on multiview or is that also a thing of the past like this rom?

I'm sure this will see an update soon we just barely got source last week so we should start seeing all kinds of good things in a couple weeks. you really should be using 4.2.2 customs roms as they are more stable. As far as multview you have to ask the touch wiz devs because I don't see jamie messing with any of that.

Most likely you will not see an update to this ROM. As ParanoidKANGDroid is a newer version of Android as well as has more features other than just ParanoidAndroid. I know Jamie is continuing to build that ROM as well as his SlimROM, SuperNexus and the others he has in the other Dev section. This one is older, based off Android 4.1.2 and doesnt have many of the features that the new PKD has. PKD is based off of 4.2.2, has Pie controls and much more.

Multi view wasnt even included in the Stock update, so it isnt even truly available for the Note to begin with. To get it working on any ROM you have to find the APK and install it yourself. No ROM to date has it included. I would check out some of the more up to date ROMs in the other Dev section to see if they will be more to your liking. You must flash the 4.2.2 GApps with those ROMs unless stated otherwise.

clearly do backups and wipes, and know what your doing, im being nice and letting a test out, respect my wish's or it will be the last time :)

just something that works mostly i guess i dunno lol, by no means put it on your girls phone if she is prone to complaining :p
this is more an early taste of things to come, as far as i can tell everything works but i cant test data as telus are nerfherders and cut me off last week, and as i mentioned buddy didnt leave me his sim card *smart guy* lol

    To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
    Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

    • If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
    • 1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
    • 2. Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
    • 3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
      ... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
      ... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
      ... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

    im still working on something special for release, ive got it down to 3 errors on build so hopefully soon
