Yeah I was using slim gapp + the 3.0 upgrade. All download from the slim bean website. It was initially fine then after awhile, the apps gone missing from market. Because of this, I had to reflash the rom + all the wipes still stuck. Im considering using the multi dpi play store. But before I do that, I would go for your suggestion first. By the way, what are the acceptable value for default google play? 240, 320 and 182?

Argh, the stupid play store is giving me a very hard time. It just goes nuts about putting major apps into incompatible mode with my phone!!! All sort of files from other roms(ics/jb) and tried gapp (ics/jb) .. with a clean install, it managed to be 'okay' a little while then it went misbehave again even without changing any dpi value! The weirdest part is having to restore to my naidroid backup (slimbean 2.9) in which playstore was working perfectly fine, still.. it decided to hide the apps from me! What else could I do?? Currently play store version is 3.10.9 .. would it be the version problem?

Formatting the system partition and flashing gapps without first flashing the ROM will result in a device that doesn't boot. It would be like deleting the C:\Windows\ directory on a PC, then trying to install a program without the OS.

@bb_hershey: if you've followed the instructions fronti90 gave in post 617 and are still having these issues with Google Play, I would suggest you flash the latest ROM (3.1) and full Slim_Gapps packages from the slimroms website. Make sure to confirm that the downloads aren't corrupted by checking the sha1 before you flash.

Thanks. It seemed that only dpi 240 worked! The rest are negative. This makes everything looks huge!

240 is stock value for s2 devices. Did you follow all the steps listed under settings, where you are able to change dpi? Setting stock value then rebooting then deleting play store data then opening paly store and keep it open for a few minutes doing nothing and then changing to another dpi again and reboot device?

Sorry for the short explanation about the above steps but they are listed in detail in the settings and i am kinda in a hurry atm ;)

After performing all wipes and installing slimrom version 3.1, I had a softbrick (i guess that's what they call it). My phone was stuck at Samsung logo, and only could enter download mode (not even recovery). So i had to use odin to bring recovery back and than wipe and install v3.0 back.

Re download and flash it again after full wipe. It might have been a corupted download. I have 3.1 running with siyah 5.0.1

All I can say that the version 3.1 is not stable. I faced many crashes and many force closes. So, reverted back to 3.0. Developers please awake.....

hm no clue tbh...please provide a logcat :good: will have to take a closer look at that. otherwise you can try to do a clean install, that should fix the issue in any case, because it looks like it is not a rom fault because no one else reported something like that
which kernel are you using?

most useless bug report ever...do clean install or learn how to report bugs in a proper way, no further support otherwise

I have just installed SlimBean 3.1 on my I9100-T and love it.

However the Messaging App will not use the Dark Theme when I tell it to, anyone know how to fix it?
Good to hear you like it :D
If I remember correctly this was a feature that was causing fc's so we removed it but forgot to remove this option in messaging app. This means that this option will not trigger any effect at all.
In case you want it dark head over to our website and take a look at real dark Slim. It's a theme designed for this rom, you can theme everything or single parts of the rom using all or parts of the flashable zips available there
