Its been working great for me so far with no issues. Do this at your own risk & I'm not responsible if you mess things up.
Here's how I did it using TWRP (I added all the zip packages before doing the install):
1. Complete wipe (dalvik, cache, system & factory wipe) I like to do a clean install with every new build.
2. Latest RB-pub build
3. GAPPS of your choice
4. Latest SOAP kernel
5. exfat mod
6. wipe dalvik & cache
This was the first ROM I used coming from TW. Can't say I miss is. That being said, on the build from 4/1, the browser force closes every time I open it and every time I open the camera, I get a 'Can't connect to the camera' message. I flashed back to the 3.9.1 public release with a full wipe and now every time I take a picture it freezes and force closes. Any insight?
LOL, I didn't see the toggle or option. May I ask you where it is? It appeared for me in all the other modes, just not Phone Mode... Also, anybody else's NAV BAR Buttons almost disappear in landscape? I have to wait til tonite to flash again to play around as I'm at work and need my phone available.
Searched this thread for the following issue, I cannot find where to "hide persistent search bar" in CM this was under launcher settings. I think it can be done since the screenshots in the OP show it not there.
Also having a issue with the cLock getting my weather data, I've removed the widget and recreated it a few times now, also my GPS is on and able to locate myself. Even when I try to put in a specific location I get a error of "Location can not be found".
Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. I personally have a high standard when it comes to releases and this is why this project always meets the expectations of users. If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.
I just spoke with bajee, I told him yesterday that I was going to need a 1-2 days break so he added the device to the building bot, while you guys are free to use which ever builds you want, mine are built with PUB while his are not.
I will still continue making builds, I just want to be able to enjoy my phone as well.
