READ THIS POST, IT'S VERY IMPORTANT

When I first got my Galaxy S III this is what I dreamed of eventually running on my phone — A ROM that has all the capabilities of ParanoidAndroid, all the features of AOKP, and one that utilizes CyanogenMod as a solid base. ParanoidKANGdroid is based off CyanogenMod source code with all the features from ParanoidAndroid and AOKP merged into the frameworks and settings. I really hope you all have a good experience with this ROM. I made my own kernel for ParanoidKANGdroid that has overclocking, undervolting, and quite a few performance tweaks. Also, under settings you will see a tab for "Update Center" which will launch goo manager which is where you can receive OTA updates for this ROM. Before I conclude I would like to thank everyone that helped make this ROM possible.

Also, here is a link to my Github which has the source for the ROM and my kernel:

Trouble.png

  • If you have an issue and you want to call my attention, here's what you do:
  • 1. Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
  • 2. Search this thread, Cyanogenmod's, ParanoidAndroid's, and AOKP's as well for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
  • 3. If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
  • ... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
  • ... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
  • ... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

This is not ported, but rather freshly compiled from source.

HOWEVER, please bear in mind that I do not own this device so if you have any problems, you will have to give me very detailed feedback. Thanks! :D

One thing that I found very useful I don't know if its ok...
Under settings
Developer options
All the way down
Where it saids:
Window: change to .5x
Transition: change to .5x
Animator: change to. 5x

It goes a lot faster.

Would any cm10 kernel work with this? Or an aokp kernel? Or both?

I've had to reboot multiple times as a result of it getting super slow then not responding. I might have to revert back to previous version
