[ROM][4.2.2][Aug 6th] Slim Bean-d2spr [build 8]

Anyone change time zones at all? I went from central to eastern last night and the clock didn't change at all. All the settings were set to automatically change, but it didn't. Not a huge deal, just curious if anyone else noticed the same thing.

No issues here. You using an Airave or Google Voice integration by chance? I know those have tendencies to create issues, especially when using them together.

Even when network upgrades were at their worst around my area (Chicago), texting was the one thing that actually seemed to work pretty well when I wasn't using an Airave and un-integrated Google Voice. I had a ton of problems when trying to use them, I think half my hate towards Sprint during their Network Vision upgrade came directly from issues with Google Voice.

have you re-enabled GV? i am having issues with GV during our upgrade in SWFL. i like using GV but I have heard of issues with re-enabling the integration with sprint

I haven't even tried. I liked GV too, but not enough to put up with the crap it caused. I think I may have tried it for kicks once and it wouldn't let me.

I'm still running Build 7 and using the stock kernel. Just works for this guy.

Go to slim website and go under old release and it's there. However I can not find the gapps for 4.2.2 so if you can find that or can link me to it that would be great

Yes, all AOSP ROMs do. When I was checking out 4.3, same thing as well.

Guess the only time I can actually go AOSP is when I sell this GS3 and pick up a N4 for prepaid.
