@vijer

Seriously? You can't work out how to disable Halo? Watch the video linked on op and if you can't see in there get your eyes tested.

BTW most people agree halo is a awesome feature, you clearly have not taken your time to familiarise how to use it properly.

Wow dude. way to be a....genital...

last i checked android was about customization. so telling someone that everyone thinks something is good and then bashing them for not liking it is really...well...apple-esque.

I believe you missed the whole point of XDA.

you the one who missed the whole point of xda..this is development section, bug trakking section, improvement section, not a section to say "how to", if you want to know "how to", go to general or Q&A section, come on,if you really dont know anything, just read, dont waste others time to read a useless post about "how to"..annoying

I do not reply much...but without being rude or anything..have you seriously seen the video for once properly??? Anyhow if you have not..double click on it and drag it to the cross button up...Seriously before asking some questions in a dev thread...read a little before wasting others time!!

Peace
Considering my original question was how to DISABLE HALO, not turn off one Halo window, I think perhaps you should read a little and not waste others time. Disable as in turn it off completely so it doesn't get activated by accident or otherwise.

Seriously, turning off a Halo window is not the question, DISABLE HALO, as in turn it off completely. Very different requests.

BTW millions of people think heroin is awesome, maybe you should familiarize yourself with it properly before you decide it is not good. The whole point here is that just because one person or 1 million people like something doesn't mean it should be required. That was a key problem with IOS, the developers thought they knew the best way and you didn't get a choice. So here is Halo, injected into a great ROM, and I can't turn it off. Yes I can avoid activating it for a notification by never touching the icon that is ALWAYS visible on my notifications screen, but I want to turn it off completely.

Sorry if it makes you unhappy that I don't like this feature and that I want to disable the functionality completely, not just stop it for one notification.

Just lovin' the way your simple stupid question is getting, now, and to close everything about your little problem, you know that it will be disabled by default in next release, so stop crying !
And I won't comment your 0 pointed thanks metter, that' s mean everything about you in XDA threads.

Yes, interesting how all of you are crying because I said your little toy is horrible. Its horrible to me, accept it. I accept that it is great for you.h
Interesting how some want to criticize me because they don't understand the meaning of disable.

Sorry I don't understand your last point. Do you mean you are upset that I didn't thank anyone? I didn't get an answer to my question, which at this point would be "Sorry there is no way to disable Halo at the moment, maybe in the next release of LiquidSmooth". Instead I got a lot of people upset because I don't like Halo and they want to tell me how to turn off a Halo window (which is helpful but doesn't answer my question). If somehow you're referring to the fact I have a zero thanks meter, who cares, I come here about once every 3 months find what I need and leave. Rarely do I need assistance from anyone and as can be seen by this pointless exchange I haven't had the need to thank anyone yet.

More importantly, you can choose to ignore me, and I can choose to ignore you, but for sure if you comment and criticize me I am almost always going to respond. If you just say I'm an A_hole and shut up, okay that is your opinion. But if you make a comment because you didn't understand the request and at the same time you criticize I will give you a full reply.

In my opinion we should not criticize or fight here. We should appreciate the work and effort that has been put for this ROM. Regarding HALO issue, I am that familiar with this feature, so I have just disabled it till I find out how it is working. Disabling the feature in default isn`t a good idea, it should be optional. And I believe no one is forcing anyone to use this ROM, that is a choice people make either to use this ROM or stock rom or something else...

The forum should be used to exchange experiences and learn something from each other........

Yup, maybe people here were just in a bad mood while posting. Fighting only makes us and the thread look horrible, and is food for trolls. The dev featured halo and if we don't like it, we should just use an other ROM or find a way to turn it off completely without making a mess. That's what xda is! If we do not respect each other, no body will.

Now that the man in question has found a way to turn it off and the OP is also done replying, I suggest we stop rallying forces and try picking out a thorn with an axe.

Spare a thought for the devs. The least we can do is thank and respect them for their work. All this is childish. If we just calm down, apologize to each other and end it here, trust me, we'll sleep a lot better! ;) :)

Peace, and out. :)
