Downloads and installation
+ Download the ROM from here
+ Download the GApps from here
+ Copy the ROM to the SD
+ Copy the GApps to the SD
+ Install the ROM and the GApps and
+ If you are already in JellyBeer, do a cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe
+ If you come from any other ROM, do a wipe data / format system
+ Reboot

Hi, I am getting back into the whole flashing ROMS thing...I haven't had a rooted phone since my Samsung infuse...but could someone please inform me what gapps are? My s4 is rooted and I have cwm on it but unaware what gapps is/are. Any input is nice. Thanks.

Gapps are the Google apps that are not packaged into the rom such as playstore and others. Search is your friend five seconds on Google would have explained this to you :thumbup:

Cold Brewed and Fresh Dated - Jelly Beer!

Awesome - JELLY BEER! Been looking forward to this - thanks to all who worked so hard to make it happen!

Need some help on a couple of things:

1) My Lock Screen sliders are excessively small - I have tried adjusting UI Settings to 420 I believe - and yet when I go to lockscreen and press to unlock - the sliders open less than a half inch away from the center - very, very small - barely enough room to make a selection if you have 'fat' fingers....

What DPI settings can I adjust to make the lock screen sliders slide out more?


2) I can't find the "Allow all widgets to the lock screen" option which is usually in lock screen settings on AOSP roms - without that option, when I try to use an alternative weather/clock widget on the lock screen - the list of available widgets is less than I usually see. Currently I can only see my Beautiful Widgets 4X4 widget - but when there is an option to include all widgets in the "lock screen settings" - then I am able to select the BW 4X2 widget - which works perfectly.


Look - these are relatively small items in the big scheme of things - just sort of "wants" that I hope will be addressed - but all in all - this seems to be a really sweeet rom - thanks for the help -

Only issue I've heard of so far is the camera not working. Seems to be an issue with a lot of ROMs right now.

Unlock Sliders TOO Small

I need a little help - the slider shortcuts on the lock screen do not "slide out" very far at all for me when I press to unlock - it is so tight of a circle there is hardly enough room to even slide.

I wonder if this is something I can fix with DPI Settings? I have most of my settings at around 420 - which is what I have used on other AOSP roms - and I have never seen this issue before.

When I set up the lock screen and I choose the slider shortcuts - it displays properly when I press the center the button they all slide out a reasonable distance - but on the lockscreen itself, they barely slide out at all making it almost unusable.

I uploaded two screen shots - the first is the lock screen - you can see how tight the lock screen half-circle is - the other screen shot is what it looks like in LockScreen setup - this seems to be about the correct sizing.

I am hoping there is some DPI Setting I can make to fix this - if not, please put it on the list of bugs to be fixed.

which DPI settings - even when I change to "STOCK" UI - it doesn't change that. Can you give me an idea of which one I should change? If this isn't happening on everyone's phone, then it must be settings I have selected-

If it is DPI Settings - I have no clue which ones it would be -

I put ALL DPI Settings to 480 - and then removed all sliders- and then added them back in again.

In the setup - slide out works beautifully - slides o ut an appropriate distance

BUT - when I am on lock screen the sliders only go out a small bit - making it really unusable.

If you can tell what DPI settings to change - will be happy to try it ???
