Welcome to my latest ROM. Apparently this one is not a port (LOL :D ). This is in continue to my last hit, the Xperia v6 ROM. From the moment I released my previous ROM, I kept getting requests for an even faster, elegant, battery saver and performance ROM. The truth is that the Xperia v6 had some major issues along the way (some still exist, but will be solved with the v7 update). This ROM comes to bring the latest 4.2.2 JB features with cutting edge style and performance. I have personally tested the ROM a few days and found out that a Beta release is not worthy and that the community deserves to have my work right away! So here I present you the Xperia Honami (ZU) ROM! Enjoy :D !​

Let's talk features! :) :

All the features from the previous Xperia ROMs except Timescape and the Xperia lockscreen.
These features couldn't be transfered due to some compatibility issues, but I will try to integrate them in a future release.
New Xperia Launcher (more customizable)
Latest Walkman
Latest Socialife (flash patch zip)
Latest Sony Album App
Latest Sony Movies App
Music Unlimited (Not personally tested)
Awesome Beats (YEAH!!!)
Latest TrackID App + Improved hearing extension
Louder audio (I believe compared to previous ROM)

How to install:​



For S-OFF:

1. Boot to Recovery

2. Factory Data reset

3. Wipe Dalvik

4. Format System

5. Install ROM Zip from Sdcard

6. Install Google Apps and Socialife+Camera patch.


For Unlocked Bootloaders:

1. Boot to Recovery

2. Factory Data reset

3. Wipe Dalvik

4. Format System

5. Install ROM Zip from Sdcard

6. Install Google Apps and Socialife+Camera patch.

7. Flash kernel (inside zip "boot.img") via fastboot.



Update to new version:

1. Download the ROM and Socialife+Camera Patch, new google apps and inspiremod (if you have an Inspire 4G).
2. Clear cache
3. Format system
4. Install zips from sd card (rom, google apps and inspiremod).
5. Reboot
6. Reboot & Enjoy the Xperia Honami feel .​

Soooo...its a port? If you swap files and folders from other ROM zips, its a port but if you take the ROM repo, and compile it using device, vendor and kernel trees, its a source built ROM.

Hi....

Couple of issues.....

1) the reboot Menu doesnt have options to boot to recovery etc.....

2) In Settings.......when I access the Storage menu........it FC's and comes to the Home screen......

3) No Clock and Weather on Home Screen....NO WIDGETS !!!!

Can S2W be be used in this ROM ????

Any info will be appreciated......

Everything by cedarctic/akateha here is a port.I also wish for a source ROM, but there is none to be found.These are just the same ROMs, just different look,cause of the same base.Nevertheless, we should be happy with what we have.

Hmmm, no they do have the same the base, but they still have different systems and frameworks and such.

They're ported really well but if they were built from source, they'd be better because they can be optimized when building with things like linaro 4.8 or -03, etc to make them faster roms. Even though carbon, which is and has been my daily for some time is very fast already :)

Yeah, the FC on storage happens on many ROMs that are ported... Use an alternative from the App store. And also some ROMs don't have the option for a Recovery Reboot, this one does not... I hope to integrate it in a future release...

hey...another issue.......i dont know if its with me or everyone.......when I just reboot the phone......the touchscreen stops responding !!!!

I have to take out the battery and restart again.....

any info ???

Hmm, sounds interesting, although I have do not experience any similar behaviour on my device... try wiping cache and dalvik, also did you perform a full wipe?

    I like to wipe the cache + Dalvik cache and battery stats weekly to keep performance up. Anyways I am planing on an update. If someone could make a list of the bugs and PM them to me, it would make the whole process go faster. Thank you all :)

    Lockscreen is under the works as apersonal project ;) . I will try to get everything OK and make a build 3 when I have some free time ;) .

    Use fasterfix from the app store to set the GPS for your region. :)
