will this work if install from Stock 4.2.1 --> PhilZ-cwm6 - Safe Stock Based Kernel --> CarbonRom 1.5 beta via CWM

because i like the PhilZ kernel. Or do i need the CM10 kernel ?
have anyone try this ?

When did Samsung released 4.2.1 Philz kernel is just fine. Do all wipes including system and preload.

As there is an option in Navigation menu in settings to set up hardware keys I think it would be very useful if there would be an option in Lockscreen to set which hardware key wakes up device to lockscreen. I often wake up my Note by accident with home button.

with that big a button, u still manage to 'accidentally' press it?

If you need other languages, install MoreLocale2 from PlayStore. Works fine for me.

Often this happens while taking Note out of the pocket. I usually change gpio-keys.kl and sec-key.kl files before flashing rom so home button can't wake device, but sometimes I forget to change. I've thought that it might be a useful feature if included in rom at least for some users. It's just a suggestion not a must have. With or without it, still a great rom.

Another thing is when editing profiles in settings, when pressing back I get empty right half of the screen (using dual panel mode).
And another issue is also when I have notification drawer expanded, the pie is below that. If it is transparent I can see the pie if it is solid the pie can not be seen. Or maybe it is meant to be like that.

I had the same problem.
I had flashed from 1.3 to 1.4 to 1.5 without full wipe. I now reinstalled 1.5 after full wipe and everything is OK.

Thanks for reporting this. For me it charges really slowly. Initially I thought it was my mangled usb cable, but now that you report this I am sure my poor cable isn't to be blamed.

I did a wipe of cache and dalvik before upgrading to 1.5 and have no troubles charging.

I made a super wipe before installing 1.5, from formatting the sd cards to wipe everything, system, dalvik, preload etc and i had that issue for the first time.
with previous versions i had no problem at all.

Hi there, I'm having a new problem with the rotation : sometimes, my N7000 will just stop rotating. Sometime stuck in Portrait or Landscape. Off course, I already checked the option in the settings and even tried using the button in the notification panel. Each time it happens, I have to reboot the phone.

And the problem during calls is still there too .

I have upgraded since 1.3 with just wipe cache and dalvik cache. Everything s working fine with me. No battery charging problem. Just sometime Nova Launcher crashes not sure it is Rom related and slide performance is still not modifiable.
I use this rom for everyday use best rom I have sticked with so far.

I get random restarts as well, always after 4 or 5 hours of use since I turn the device on.

Hope someone can help me here as I love this ROM but at the moment it is becoming unstable for me. I am suffering random reboots and recently getting a huge battery drain. All of a sudden my phone become really hot, almost too hot to touch, and the battery just drops off.

I was on 1.5 beta but have gone back to 1.4. My battery stats show gpsd having a huge drain, any idea what this is and how to fix it? Or could it be something else.

How do I get hold of the latest nightly?
