weird mine works perfectly. Yes it is pretty boring , but it seems good for people who just want jellybean. I think it is useful for kids I personally have no use for it whatsoever its just too boring for me.

That is indeed weird =/ Maybe something got lost in coding which is why quick toggles don't work for us, but do on your Fascinate? Despite how barebones SN is, I'd actually run it permanently if the quick toggles at least worked. This would be the first pure AOSP rom for us, right?

Glad you're all set up :) and to everyone sorry for being pretty elusive lately and not helping out and answering stuff as much as I should. Not too much time currently.

Thank you, me too! This is all just for fun and I think sometimes people loose sight of that. Everyone has their own real life responsibilities to worry about and take care of. When you get a chance gtalk me.

:cool: THANKS for Build 4 :cool:

Your welcome:highfive: I haven't forgot about that Xylon boot splash screen you want and I will get it for you, just have to figure out where it's located.

Wow... I JUST installed 3.4 and set up my icons and such!! Now its time for 4.0!! Another couple of hours for me to spend playing with my phone and ignoring family, LOL.

We move at a fast pace here in the Slim world lol.

Downloading Slim4 now. For the record, somehow I downloaded v2.1 instead of 3.4 so that's probably why I was getting the reboot errors. I have absolutely no idea where I found the link for 2.1 lol. Thanks for the great work!

I changed a few things in Slim 4.0 with the boot animation and boot image but if you're getting any reboot errors as always let me know.

here's the real xylon bootimage, not the one he is looking for.

Thank You for the effort but that's not the same one ... I cannot figure out where the other one exists inside the ROM ... is it in the kernel package itself ???

That one that Effsi linked isn't it? That's the boot splash screen that I got after I deleted the bootanimation.zip and flashed the rom. Which one are you talking about:confused:

So a newer build with tweaks will be coming soon?

Yes, have you tried the Slim v4.0 that's up?

don't worry about it DynamicN , I guess I'm not explaining myself correctly ( not using the correct terms ) .... when I had originally downloaded Effsi's XylonK , I immediately deleted the bootanimation.zip it came with because I knew the bootanimation.zips had caused some problems previously , but was surprised to see somekinda Xylon slashscreen-animation when I loaded it ( I even mentioned it to Effsi at the same and he seemed to be surprised by it as well ), so somewhere in that ROM it exists but it's NOT the bootanimation.zip ... it's no biggie , U guys are doing an awesome job for our benefit and I thank you greatly

I did the exact same thing and I got the Xylon splash screen that said Kanged Elegant Simple Fast. I want to figure out what one your talking about, it's going to bug me if I don't lol.

I thought this last build fixed that issue but I will figure it out this weekend. Let me know if it's any better using Effsi's 0308 kernel.

Edit: Updated post #516 with new Slim Gapps v4

Quickly tested out Slim 4 but again, quick toggle tiles won't work for me. Apart from that, lockscreen doesn't appear at all. With a MD5 correct zip, I don't know if it's because of a setting hidden somewhere...
And @didhiy, sorry to say but the second boot screen (where typically there's the Galaxy S /CyanogenMod) looks very bad (I know that's in your kernel). Please revert or at least refine it.

Where did you go to enable the quick toggle tiles and do they not work at all? Also for the lockscreen did you enable a custom background? How does the second boot screen look bad? I'm asking so I know where and what to fix.

1) I had the ROM fresh, i.e. I hadn't touched anything after I boot and quick toogle tiles doesn't appear when I press the toggle button in notif drawer. And of course, lockscreen settings isn't touched at all, too. I'm not into too much customizations.
2) I mean, @didhiy's changed the "Galaxy S / CyanogenMod" 2nd boot screen to a (maybe) personally (but very badly, seriously) done picture mix. Check it out yourself. Not a big deal to me, as I already hate Voodoo and will flash a kernel from the latest CM nightly the instant I detect Voodoo Color's existence. That will get rid of the pic. But for you Voodoo / NS4G lovers, I still want to shout out to @didhiy to revert the change. Maybe you can do it.

2nd boot screen is PRIOR to the bootanimation.zip I can typically replace with Root Explorer or ROM Toolbox. It's in the kernel.
On normal CM builds it says:
=====================
=======GALAXY S=======
=====Cyanogen(mod)=====
=====================

And same thing goes for @didhiy's kernel as of 0401. But this time in the latest kernel there goes a poorly PSed picture. I don't see why... :)

    well i would love to see larger support

    could you clarify on that for me? maybe it's just late but what is the larger support you'd like to see?

    if by support you mean grabbing you the link : http://bit.ly/12OCpGI

    also with the texas given instructions about getting the modem going on this rom with my script, is there any reason not to just link to the detailed post I made about applying the swap? rather than having like 10 different sets of instructions at some point it could be nice to point everyone to one post, and give feedback on how to clarify the post to help others later on. the whole 10 sets of different instructions and different files didn't help the modem swapping in the past. but that's just my opinion. it would also be nice to get some thanks for the work. there's a healthy amount of downloads and a total of 4 thanks.

    friendly reminder : all my stuff is hosted on goo.im and can be found through goomanager also (including changelogs as of recent times). all my roms come with goomanager (or should). there are no official threads for my stuff as it's for personal use only, the official roms are the ones with the dedicated threads. If you install my rom, leave goomanager on it and you will be notified of updates. no thread to follow or anything like that so it's fairly simple to stay up to date.

    ps thank you unjustified this is better than I remember it being. nicely done and await future updates. xboxfanj is right about codefirex running pretty beastly also :)

    Uses the kernel from bbelos 0318 build since when I compiled I some how included a kernel with twrp which didn't work right and made me have to odin. probably some small errors here and there since I rushed this out. Data seems fine, haven't tested mms or anything much yet

    I tried to upload to goo.im but can't seem to login my ftp?

    Edit : data died at some point, replaced with my edited apn file from my cm builds and it kicked back in. Hardware keyboard arrows are mixed up, some stock files were also removed. When I get home in 8 hours ill reupload one with the apn file baked in assuming I don't run in to any other glaring bugs while running this today at work.
    6
    I would suggest U include a kernel ..... then folks can switch if they want to .. ;)

    Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium

    I'm thinkin I'm going to include Didhiy's newest kernel.

    Sorry must have described the issue wrong.
    If I power down then reboot, it freezes on start up animation. I have to pull battery, go into TWRP and wipe cache and dalvik. Then reboot again. Boots up fine after that.

    What screen does it freeze on, the bootanimation?
