We don't need, at least not for cm10.2.

Yep, builds successfully but cannot be flashed. Probably because CM10.2 doesn't boot either.
I think we just need to find an ARMv6 device with working KitKat and ask its developers for help.

The Galaxy Fit, Ace and Gio have an alpha build of CM11, they have a recovery which can flash it but it shows nothing but a blue screen
Here's the Gio thread if you like to take a look
We also have a working 6.0.2.x (built using 4.1 device tree), but CWM 6.0.3.x and higher built using 4.2, 4.3 or 4.4 device trees do not work.
Why don't we just take a look into Samsung or LG 4.4 device tree and compare to see what we miss?
To get a working recovery the first thing to do is to reduce the size, because it builds without any problems (I built TWRP 2.7 without any error). The real problem is it is 200 KB too much for our partition. I do think it isn't difficult to slim it down a bit ?
You're right, probably those devices have some commits which could be useful... The problem, for now, is that cm10.2 doesn't boot and cm11 doesn't build (if I remember well ?). The problem for cm10.2 is that system cannot be mounted, which causes a reboot. For cm11 we are close to the end, but JDevs' sources would be definitely very helpful.
I don't think he has it, but I'm sure he will help us to get CM11 to boot.
Great ! Do you know an easier way to contact him than xda pm ? He never replies ?
I think it's because he never reads PM's here and he's a kinda busy guy.
I have another way to contact him.

Any progress regarding these points? I'm not in a hurry. Just wondering is CM10.1 is the way to go right now, or if we can expect a CM10.2 test build soon.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, broken hearts, thermonuclear war, you getting fired because the alarm app failed, lost virgin or unfulfilled sexual partners. I also don't promise you regular seks or increase of your salary after installing this rom. It's up to you, not to me.
OWL Project - is a small project consisting of several people. We are trying to keep an old device, which is no longer supported by its manufacturer, by making new Android versions for it as bugfree as it's possible.
For now we are developing only the new CyanogenMod version, which is CM 10.1. We plan to make 10.2 when it comes. We used to work on CM 10.0, but now it's history.
It's simple. The full name of our team is "Open Wildfire Life Project".
