Following my sudden issues with 4.2.2 I did a nandroid and updated to 4.3, and MIRACLE, it boots...

God, I hate this, it's gonna take me ages to put everything back as it was (perfectly working) before... :(

And even in 4.3, a year later, there is STILL the bug that it's not possible to remove the clock from the lockscreen...

My application partition is filled up and I have just about 500 mb of apps installed. Clean fresh install full wipes this afternoon.

Whats happened? How can I reclaim my space

And a year later your ability to use Google seems somewhat limited...

Of course you can remove it... However, there is a requirement that you have at least 1 widget. This is just the way the lockscreen works.

So, get "blank lockscreen widget" from the play store... Add it as a 2nd widget (swipe lockscreen to the right, click the big plus icon, select "blank" widget)

Then swipe back to clock, tap/hold, drag to "remove"...

Et voilà... No more clock! :good:

Hello. I installed this ROM today but since then I am experiencing huge battery drain. When I checked the details, the graph shows that Wifi is on all the time whereas my Wifi is always off. Please check the attachment and help me with what can be going wrong.

Oh.
Thanks.
But why wasn't this requirement removed?

Having huge battery drain as well. CPU Spy is telling me that the CPU deep slept only 80% of the time, with the rest of the time at 200mhz, 500mhz and above, compared to it being 99% of the time with the 4.2.2.
I wonder what keeps the CPU out of deep sleep.

Try to disable Google location service to always scan even when wifi is off in wifi settings. A new 4.3 FEATURE :)

To improve location accuracy and for other purposes, Google and other apps may scan for nearby networks, even when Wi-Fi is off," describes Google

A little bit OT, but does anyone knows when SlimBean 4.3 will be released for the Galaxy Note 3?
I searched around, but there was no information released at all on this.
Is it not being worked on?

Post a logcat (use catlog from play store) if you expect help on application FCs from the developer.

How could that be fixed?

Take the weekly. Mobile Data and calls work simultaneously, as long your on UMTS (3G/H), not on GSM. WIFI wasn't affected. My main point. Of course, it is newer also.

Not to my knowledge... None of the devs have the device, so I doubt it'll get picked up soon...

There is a slim chance (see what I did there? :p) that the Qualcomm units might get some love... But I doubt the Exynos version will... As usual, #blameSamsung

Here are the results:
Get BetterBatteryStats... That Wakelock Detector thing doesn't seem to show anything useful??!?

Catlog of Volume+ error :
Good effort, but please post full logcats... Partial logcats are not always helpful...

In any case it appears the app is choking on something... Your best bet is to contact the app dev and send them the full logcat.

I wonna try this rom, just need to know which version is faster the latest 1.6 weekly or official 4.3? What are the defrence between those two? Tnx
Read the changelogs... And tbh... A question like "which is faster?" Is pretty pointless... Faster at what? Boot up? Shut down? Heating up? Taking pictures? creating thumbnails? Opening apps? Closing apps? Playing music? Rotating the screen? Displaying all the useless eye candy crap that people put on their phones so their friends can go "oooooeeerrrrr"?

Unless you can time things in milliseconds... You're probably not going to notice any difference between stable and a weekly...

For reference, a weekly is likely to have more fixes/tweaks/addons included, but less testing... Basically, it is an auto generated build that compiled without errors... Stuff *may* be broken.

Whereas, the stable releases are generally thoroughly tested before release... But aren't as "new", so may be missing a fix or feature added in the last week(s)

Take a nandroid, flash away... Figure out which one suits you...

I think he wants to say about smoother. Anyway always the latest build is supposted to be the smoothest. Anyway if he compares changelogs from the date of latest stable and the weekly he will check that on Weekly 1.6 appears a sentence saying that weekly is the smoothest they did for most of all devices. So just flash always weekly is the best choice :)

Qualcomm is fine, I'd get the International version anyway. :D
I'm honestly waiting for SlimBean and ZeroLemon 10Ah battery for the Note 3, then I might jump ship.
I don't want to touch Samsung's bloatware with a 10 foot pole.

But a version with flexible screen has been rumored as well... :crying:
Hopefully it will be on Qualcomm, rather than on Exynos. :D
