I dont know why people are having problems while flashing just install philz touch recovery and wipe data / clean to flash new rom and flash the damn rom and flash wifi fix in odin and thats it anw great rom keep up the good work smooth as butter :thumbup:

Do a factory reset, erase everything In Philz's there is an option to "prepare for new ROM install", run it - it should erase everything needed. Be sure to use version 5.x not 6.x. Then flash MJ5 bootloader, flash ROM. It works really great, I never had a freeze or reboot.

In the Aroma installer, you have the option to add Samsung apps.
After that you will get the Samsung Store - start it and login to you samsung account from there ..

I don't have any delay when phone call ends....cannot reproduce it.

Try re-checking your call settings at /Settings /Devce /Call .....

What Custom Stock Kernels fit to this ROM?

The only reason you will get freezes and reboots is if you are using a not compatible mod kernel, or you used the wrong Custom recovery to flash the Rom.


Philz Recovery 5.15 works fine ...Some 6.xx version doesn't .....Didn't test the latest Philz version yet .


The Mod kernel I recommend for this Rom is Devil2-1,9.7

With the latest 2.0.4 I got some freezes and a little worse battery perfomance ...

So the one to use is Devil2-1.9.7

I have done that and there is samsung store, I can logon. But in settings, under accounts, add account there is no "samsung" account, nor is there option to use to find the device from samsung "find my phone", etc. All those options are missing.

The only thing I DIDN'T flash was samsung widgets, because I use Nova launcher, I wonder could that be it?

I made the " perpare for new rom install" wipe before flashing this rom. And still have the mj5 bootloader till the previous DN3 Rom installation.
Should i reflash it?
I use stock kernel 3.0.31 and
Philz CWM 6.0.3.2.
I've never had any problem with Philz recovery.
I'll try to erase all data again.

I have about 4-5 days problem with mobile internet. I dont know why but is going out from wifi the mobile internet connection is not actived.
I must restart mobile and after that is work.

Concerning Samsung account bug... I think that SamsungService.apk was somehow corrupted. I copied it once again and it works just fine!!!!

I'm getting this from time to time, can't figure out why, I think mostly when I switch on the Wifi and it connects, never had that one before. But it dissapears quickly enough.

Edit: Yes I just tried, and it happens when I connect to Wifi. It just displays the message and then it works OK.

Also, even though I managed to add Samsung account now I'm unable to use "find my mobile". I turn it on and it just turns off by itself. Also, Samsung sync (backup) is not working.

Edit: I tried clearing data for "samsung account" and then deletng my Samsung account and re-creating it but still no go. Sync doesn't work, backup doesn't work, find my mobile doesn't work.

About 3G disconnecting , I don't use data only WiFi, but I read long ago, in other threads, that on 4.3, you have do disable "Auto network switch" in WiFi advanced settings ...

I was just playing with Smart Stay and it seems to work fine, but the "eye" icon is always dimmed, is this supposed to be like that?

Also I think it consumes a lot of battery since I turned that feature on. Even when I don't have screen lit, is this possible or am I jus imagining things? 30% battery drain in 7 hours with just 15 minutes of on-screen time is a bit too much IMHO?

That sure sounds like too much drain. I got 15 hours battery life. 5 hours 30 mins screen on, on v22 devil 1.9.7. Lots of data usage.
