I was able to install another kernel using ADB sideloading, then after rebooting recovery I was able to see my sd card.

strange behavior

i installed this rom and everything was great at first,
i was playing around with the settings menu, and my battery fell of by mistake, i pressed the power menu but the phone get stuck on the samsung galaxy note screen. the only thing i can do is boot in to recovery, but unfortunately that's not much help, because is some old version of cwm recovery )v6.0.3.4

i am not new at this, i flashed almost all rom's ever made for the note, so i now my way around flashing rom's kernel/'s and other stuff like this.

now comes the tricky part. when i boot in to recovery i can't do anything, i cant't restore the backup i've made before flashing this rom, i can't flash anything because there's no option to select install zip from internal storage, the only option for flashing a zip is "install zip from sd card", selecting that option shows only 3 folders....\0....\clockworkmod and \obb . so i can't flash anything, not even from the external sd card.

fortunately i have the option to install zip from adb, but my using "adb devices" command in cmd doesn't show anything, in fact every command i tried in adb on my laptop isn't working.

so i have no options to chose from, my note is sitting on my desk holding down some papers. does anyone have some ideea on how to flash any recovery to my phone, adb is not working, fastboot is not working and odin is not working fro me.


L.E. solved with odin....flashed another kernel and restored backup.....on the future will not ever install illusion rom's

i eas facing some problems with this rom, i managed to flash another rom and another kernel.

i really want to install this rom and use it daily.

is something wrong with this rom, after the first bot i do all the settings, then i reboot, but never boots up again, it's stuck on samsung galaxy note screen.
i tried flashing with different kernels and recovery's , nothing helps.
it's possible that the developer removes the recovery built in the rom or to replace it with different recovery?

Hi. I just tried to install this ROM. I had everything on external card, phone rooted installation from safe kernel and now I can not do anything with it. Phone dont want to boot/ just shows samsung logo. When I restart to recovery it does not see external card where I have folder with other roms and kernels. What can I do now?

Finally after 2 hours it boots and I got error after error after error after error/ I can not pass the 1 screen "welcome to cyanogenmod" because its bombed with error popups and after that it restarts by itself......

What gapps did you flash? Did you do full wipe before installing? Need more detail of what ROM and setup you had before.

Did you made a clean install?
1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Wipe cache
3.Advanced-> Wipe Dalvik Cache
4. Mounts and storage-> Format/system
5. Flash the ROM

since a moment i read the same thing, the same questions.
sorry but:

• the dev make an OP, why? it's for reading
• dirty instal or clean instal (full wiping/ full format (u can find a thread about that))
• safe or not safe kernel
• a thread, it's for read, read & read
• when we flash, if it isnit ok: try, try & try
• we can make error when we flash
• respect the time that dev give us, before asking, :trying again & search, on XDA, we find a lot of answer

Yes.I always make all wipes before and after zips intallations. Somehow my phone lost root acces. Even on internal card it didnt seen the rest of files/ only some empty folders like 0 and cyanogenmod. I made even extra wipes when it didnt want to boot and after it finally boots I got a lot of pop up errors so I couldnt pass the welcome screeen. After couple of hours and self restarts these popups gone, when I got low batery warning . I tried to root it by apk but no way. I copy new roms, kernels etc on internal card and tried again recovery mode but it still didnt seen folders on internal card. After that I made everything by pc and odin with rooted GB rom. Now I am back on JB, but different one .

If you try to make a backup of Recovery I got a message about the lack free space (actually - enough for a few backup). Recovery trying to create a backup somewhere in the root system.

And, horror of horrors! - I could not do a restore previous firmware or install other kernel with recovery - as recovery not see any built-in or external memory. Recovery sees only the /sdcard 0/, clockworkmod/ and obb/.

Just install that zip via recovery and will have a good kernel and recovery fully working
