Well, when you want the best, just stick with the best....
My name is MrBlaque and I approve of this message-
What a short strange trip it has been...I left this ROM to try out other ROMs not long after Amnix made the announcement that he wasn't going to be updating for awhile after selling his phone. I tried a total of 7 ROM and stuck with one for a couple weeks. Some were good, some were complete **** and some, well some should have the developer drawn and quartered. I re installed v3.1 today and updated to v3.4 and when it was done, it felt like home. I don't care if this ROM every gets updated, this is the ROM my phone will die on UNLESS Amnix comes back and updates it again.
I do have a couple ROMs that I recommend if the Xperiaized ROM isn't for you. Keep in mind I look first at bettery life, then smoothness/speed and finally features. With that in mind, should you decide you want to leave this ROM here are my recommendations-
SupremeBean...Stock Touchwiz without all the bloat. Slimmest of the slim, small footprint and great battery life. The latest update is incredible.. If only he would theme...
Dr.Ketan Rom...He isnt just a doctor, he is a developer. The Doc has saved my Note II's life more than once with his toolkit. On top of that, the Doc has made probably once of the sweetest stock ROMs out there. His Rom and geekynoob's Rom are the best stock experince. The difference is the Doc gives you the option to load as much or as little bloat as you want. Its smooth, fast and good battery life.
Mannyvinnys Jellykat...Before the 4.4.2 update this was what I stuck with for a little more than a week. The 4.3 version of the Rom is pretty good, though its battery life could be better...much better. The 240dpi MOD is a bit wonky as it centers everything. The 4.4.2 update? Well, let's just say I had problems. Lots and lots of problems. To the point of I nearly bricked my phone just to get back to a stable stock 4.3 JB. Dont let my post count fool you. I have been here for a long time (much longer than the date by my name) and if I can not get a flashed ROM (on AROMA even) working, then there is something wrong. If you go to his ROM, stick to jellybean version until an official release of Kitkat for note 2 is released.
The rest? I guess all of that is up to personal tastes. The above three are all solid ROM's. The others I tried, well, read between the lines. They are ok, but many have issues like force closes, poor coding which eats up battery life and CPU, laggy etc. Since XDA doesn't like it when people talk bad about other ROMs, I won't. However, suffice it to say I have an opinion about what is good. SupremeBean and Dr. Ketan's ROM are neck and neck for the best stock ROM experince with Mannyvinny Jellykat in number 3.
Amnix's ROM is the best by far. His move from a no TW ROM to a TW base and still keeping the ROM so fast and battery life so great, well, it is magic. If I knew how to upload an image here I would show you my phone with over 48 hours off charger and still at 39% battery life using wifi or mobile data ALL THE TIME. Kids, this ROM kicks ass and in my opinion, it is the best Rom for the Note 2. It's good to be back home. Amnix, thanks for the dedication you gave to this ROM and keeping it feeling fresh and new all the time. Best wishes to your mother and a speedy recovery. Hope to see you again in the future.
