DISCLAIMER: This rom was NOT created by me. This is 99% the work of 00McD00. Originally this was a personal project, but once other people started showing interest I decided to release it on XDA. I merely de-sensed the rom and updated a few of the images. Full credit goes to 00McD00 for the amazing rom he created for us. If you wish to donate to anyone, donate to 00McD00.

Let me preface this by saying: THIS IS NOT BASED ON ANDROID 4.0...I'm not that good. This is a rom themed to the specifications of ICS and Slate and when I say themed, this thing is DEEP. I feel I can claim with certainty this is the heaviest themed rom out for the Incredible. Take special note of the custom Rosie and all the hidden bits of ICS. Also, this has all of the features which can be found on McSense.

Normal disclaimer about how flashing a rom can be dangerous for your phone and such. Please always perform a backup before flashing any of my work (or anything really). If you some how mess up your phone it's your fault, not mine. You are not allowed to sue me, all you'd get would be student loans anyways.​

Welcome to Ice Cream Senseless, an extremely stripped down version of Ice Cream Sense by 00McD00.

- All Sense apks and images have been removed aside from the following:
Dialer, People, Gallery, Camera, Browser, Calculator, Facebook for HTC Sense (for contact syncing)
Might be more I kept that I'm not recalling, but 95% of sense is gone.
- Includes Minimalist ADW Launcher by default
- 18 new slate images have been themed into the rom
- Updated Adobe Flash Player
- AOSP MMS app

Version 1.1.1

This is mostly a correction update and added some of the things that were missing from the original. As a result, the rom is a little less senseless but the functionality added back makes it worth it. I have some plans/ideas for 1.2 but I can't say when I'll have time to pursue it.

ISSUES
- Choosing "MMS" from the Share menu won't actually add the image to the message. Add it from within the messaging app.

Email.APK Attached - AOSP Email in case you do not like the sense one. Push it to system/app using root explorer/ES File explorer (with root explorer option enabled) and change the permissions to rw-r--r--.

Hope you all enjoy this as much as I do!

thank you. Been using the original version and I can only imagine this will be even better. I am gonna wait awhile til ICS has had time to get right. I'll stick with this because I know everything works and it looks great.

hmmm - I've tried installing 3 times now - fully wiping & installing - non stop boot animation. I've let it do it's thing for up to 30 min. no dice

It uses the lockscreen from Ice Cream Sense, so no app shortcuts. In the screenshots above I'm using widgetlocker which I highly recommend. It's a paid app but it's quality. The camera is stock HTC camera.

This is odd... Can anyone confirm a successful flash? Also, are you wiping system and boot from Mounts and Storage in CWM? I notice in your sig you're using 3.0.0.8, might help to have the latest CWM.

Uploading to Multiupload is borked, which is why I used dropbox... stupidly, because I guess only 82 people can download before they cut me off. I'm re-uploading to sendspace right now.

What is everyone's thoughts about kernels? Should we use the stock kernel on this? I had been using Tiny's kernel on Ice Cream Sense.

Downloaded this morning and just loaded on the phone. So far so good . will play a bit and report back
Used Tb to reinstall apps and worked fine

Working great.. can anyone recommend a good email app for connecting to my work exchange server?

Also, is it possible to remove adw launcher and the stock messaging app since I use Go Launcher and Go SMS?

yes.. Simply install go launcher and choose it as your default when prompted

Don't uninstall stock messaging app.. Bad things happe

^^^ i think that might be bad luck... i always delete the stock sms app...i use handcent and never have any issues...
although, ive never done that on a mc rom(or kang) so could be that

Yeah it runs great. Is there anyway to add the htc mail app back in? I tried using k9-mail but for some reason it will not connect to my work exchange server.

    Disable the latest OTA update

    Here is the solution to get rid of the latest OTA update (4.08.605.15) from Verizon:

    -Open Root Explorer and make sure you're mounted as Read/Write.
    -Navigate to /system and long press on build.prop, then select the "Open in text editor" option and look for a similar line that looks like:

    ro.build.fingerprint=verizon_wwe/inc/inc:2.3.4/GRJ22/XXXXXX:user/release-keys


    Edit that line to this:

    ro.build.fingerprint=verizon_wwe/inc/inc:2.3.4/GRJ22/389630.15:user/release-keys

    -Using Root Explorer navigate back to the root directory and then open the cache partition (/cache)
    -Look for a file that looks similar to the following:

    2f1ca959c767.OTA_Incredible_C_Gingerbread_S_VERIZON_WWE_4.08.605.15-4.08.605.2_release_264040

    -Delete this file
    -Restart your phone. If you get the notification for an update, say no and clear it.
    -Go into Settings/About phone/System updates
    -Your phone should now say "Your system is currently up to date."
    -Relax and drink a beer, the OTA update notification is gone. Cheers!

    Do not touch the otacerts.zip file, which is often mentioned as a solution. Doing this will cause your phone to download the update, then it will fail the certification check. It will then try to repeatedly download the update again and re-check it, and continuously fail, killing your battery.

    i also re added the Weather, World Clock, Evo Cam, without problems. I needed the alarm from World Clock mainly. And the EVO camera has on screen shutter button, works great if you turn preview off, 720p recording works better than any other Rom ive used.

    This Rom is so sweet. Turns 3G on/off when needed. Love this feature. AOSP MMS is awesome. I dont know why i didnt try this Rom sooner. Thanks Div.

    I've been working on an update but have been holding off for a few reasons, one being so tied up with work that I barely have any free time to work on it, another is trying to figure out what should be changed/added!

    I think I know what I was doing wrong to cause the browser crash though so when I get the chance ill try to have it working with the new images. Ill also add the sense email client as well as deskclock (dont know how I forgot this one honestly).

    The HTC email widget will not work on this Senseless ROM as it requires Rosie (the Sense launcher) which was removed as a part of de-sensing the ROM.

    You can get the stock lockscreen but it wouldn't be the rotary tabs lockscreen but rather the sliding tabs lockscreen. All you need to do is to rename /system/app/HTCLockscreen.apk to a different filename and reboot and that will disable the HTC launcher. If you want it back you can rename the file back to what it was and reboot again.
