hello

Hello to everyone,
I downloaded latest stable slimkat and so far I am realy satisfied. Only i dont like weather and gmail widget in lock screen. Is there a way to remove it, i couldnt find it in options. I would just like a clock in lock screen and nothing else? Perhaps unlock ring battery indicator anywhere? And for g+ battery draining issue, does it relate to this stable release also and how to fix it? Tnx

you just swipe down the lockscreen slider down and remove the the screen ...then you can add any widget you wanted...

for the g+ issue i just greenified it..

Guys maybe somebody here knows.

When I am in the internet browser and try to click an icon for uploading a file usually the file explorer pops up to ask which file.
For me nothing happens-no selection at all.
What do I need to check our change? Is there any setting I need to correct?

Thanks

As mentioned here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2743775
...I am looking for my first and possibly last N7000 custom ROM (I have used custom ROMs on my other devices but not N7000).

So... I wonder, does this one support all N7000 hardware?
Namely:
- FM Radio (even if support is through 3rd party app).
- Stylus (and pressure sensitive digitizer).
- Video out.
- Cameras.

Thank you in advance.

S-Pen's advanced features, S-Note, S-Calendar, and FM radio (and probably Video out too) all require Samsung's proprietary Touchwiz libraries, which are not included in any AOSP-based ROMs. You will need a Touchwiz-based ROM, which for our Note means that you are stuck with Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

Camera works on all ROMs.

When can we get theme chooser? I mean, are there plans to implement this in KitKat or not?

I asked to the Slimkat G+ Community and someone sayd that they will now add theme choser , they do now want to depend for CM.

Untill further notices it will stay the same...

If that's the question

The answer given was "expect news soon". Everything else would be a mere speculation.
But, on the other hand, here on xda I found that interesting post/conversation.
I've asked this question some months ago and wondering the progress; How is the new theme manager coming along?
Discussing this currently. With @kufikugel 's eventual approval, we may or may not use the new CM theme engine...

Hey so after many months of sticking to the jb slim roms, mostly because I haven't had too much time to play around with my phone, I have finally updated to kit Kat. Had a problem at first with a status 7 error, did not read/realize I had to be in a kit Kat compatible kernel. But got that sorted out with philz kernel. Had to go through a tedious process of flashing stock rom again.

Anyways, I've been using it for 2 days now. One thing I noticed is that the kernel uses twrp recovery?! What's up with that? Not really comfortable with it, I flashed philz kernel to go back to cwm but got a boot loop, tried wiping cache in recovery but still did not work, so had to go back and do the process over again to flash slim Kat.

My question is, is there another compatible kernel to use other than what slim Kat uses that has cwm recovery?

My next point involves how my phone is always heated up and how I lose 5 percentage of battery in 10 min. My screen on time is barely 40% on average, and there are no known apps that are hogging up the processor.

I'd really appreciate if I could get some assistance as this is the first kit Kat rom/update I've flashed. I've been a loyal slim user since the very first slim rom came out (can't remember if it was ics or jb) and I'd hate to switch to cyanogen or even pa

Thanks in advance

Edit: Did some more tests regarding battery/processor issue. Turns out facebook was the culprit. I uninstalled it, and while its drastically improved during standby, the phone still heats up during average use even without fb. Could be my phone, but wasn't experiencing this on jb and facebook wasn't that much of an issue on jb. but i know thats just app related.
