Hi! I'm still on stock ROM and i'd like to try a 4.4 one, is this one a "porting" from SlimSaber - n7000 [SlimKat Unofficial Builds]?
If yes, is the same kernel the one to be used? (i don't see any kernel reference)?
Thank you!

If you want to try SlimKat using raw kernel r4 j43:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397000

Full wipe: data, cache, dalvik cache.
Mount system and format system
Flash SlimKat beta 2.1
Flash SLIM Gapps
Flash SuperSU v1.86
Reboot

Go to mount system and storage and format system!
Flash SlimKat beta 2.1

Thanks for your answer.
How do you do that with TWRP ? You just have to check the partition to mount it (there is no mount button when the partition is checked) ?
Do you have another KitKat CWM that I can use ?

If you are with stock recovery, you must first install a safe kernel
You can download it from here: http://d-h.st/8xg (PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0-signed)

1)Put the PhilZ-cwm6-XXLTA-ATL-5.15.0-signed on your external sd card
2)Boot into stock recovery (volume up + home + power) and select apply update from external storage
3)Reboot again in recovery mode (volume up + home + power) now you have a safe kernel

Now you can get the kernel to isntall SlimKat: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2397000
Download r5 KK4.4 and put on your external sd card
Flash r5 KK4.4 and reboot again in recovery mode

Do a full wipe: data factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik cache.
Go to Mount system and storage and format system
Flash SlimKat beta 2.1
Flash SLIM Gapps
Flash SuperSU v1.86
Reboot

The ROM is booting now without FC but... I installed no gapps...
The problem comes from the gapps zip I'm trying to flash...
Do you confirm it's this one : Slim_AIO_gapps.4.3.build.2 http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/d...ad/383-addons/6372-slim-aio-gapps-4-3-build-2 ?
I've checked sha1sum and my file is ok.

Edit : Oh no !! the right gapps zip is there : http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/d...-addons4-4/7345-slim-aio-gapps-4-4-2-beta-1-x
I didn't realise it was for 4.3... how silly I am, sorry ! :(

Kudos for the excellent ROM!!

Perfect build for a beta. Fast, stable and smooth. Great job!!

A few questions:
1. Where can I find the "flip to mute" option?
2. Facebook contacts are synched and shows up as enabled in contacts (Accounts) but can't see the profile pics and other details.
3. Camera: Sometimes the phone starts buzzing/vibrating when the camera app is on. Anything that I am missing here?
4. How do I disable the hardware keys? I remember flashing a MOD in 4.2.x/4.3.x but unable to find it now. Also not sure if it will work in 4.4.2

How to remove the white border from the menus?
Turn off TRDS...

It is part of the dark "theme"

1. Did you not read the "not everything has been ported yet" comment in OP?

2. Use Sync.me

3. Like the vibrate function is kicking in? Or just a "noise"? If noise, is heard reports in the past that this is just the lens/focus mechanism going weird with auto focus etc... Haven't ever had it happen on my i9100... If vibrate... No idea, never experienced that

4. Not supported as yet... See 1.
