hmmm.. i have not seen this error before... the only time i have is on Apple Devices because they are so picky about aftermarket chargers.. do you get the same result using other computers? what version of windows?

hopefully someone who still checks this forum will be able to help..
It only happens now with car charger which is an OEM charger that I had and used for years. It does charge on windows based computer USB cable fine

I bet Samsung is now doing this with KIES since the Note 7 issue

This ROM requires the MJ9 firmware I know. I have an unlocked bootloader with VRALJB firmware. My question is can I flash the MJ9 firmware without locking my bootloader and be able to Odin back to VRALJB if I so choose? I want to try out a stock style ROM again but I don't want to change my firmware if it is going to lock me in place. Thanks.

You would never want to apply this ROM if you weren't locked into it.

If you are capable of running an AOSP ROM, then run Marshmallow or Nougat. Don't even look at a 4.4.2 KitKat ROM.

I can't run anything newer since I'm on nd7 (unless I get a new phone).

That's kinda what I figured. What I had wanted to do was be able to load up a ROM that passed SafetyNet. I know the kernel does not know about the unlocked bootloader like the new Pixel does, yet even fully unrooting any marshmallow builds failed to pass on my device. I tried everything from suhide to magisk with no success. However it does not matter to me now since I now own a Pixel and am content with my Note 2 as it stands. Thanks for your response.

so, this ROM wont work on MC3? That sounds kinda odd to me

i installed the ROM but it just stayed at the bootanimation indefinitely. re-wiped in recovery and reinstalled, no dice. I cant imagine the bootloader being a requirement
