So i downloaded it (epic 8) blah blah I tried to flashed it with philz touch recovery and for the most part it installs fine, but near the end of the install it gives an error that says some changes failed installation aborted. Then i booted it anyway and it appears as if everything is working good, except I can't get my wifi working, which may be a problem with my modem, was i supposed to update my modem first? it was still on the one prior to MF9.
also I didn't flash Gapps.

I know where the issue with the script is.

You can still install it fine.

As the modem goes.

Unlike the s3 version, I didn't not touch the modem on the s4.

so then any idea why it breaks my wifi?

Just a general cm11 question. Is there a way to not have the split notification drag down? Essentially I just want notifications when I swipe down, no matter what side I swipe.

You should be able to turn the quick settings panel off.. That would accomplish that goal right? Not sure if that is standard cm11 function though..

On another note, I'm still having trouble getting epic8 & smasher to flash.. Only thing I haven't tried yet is using twep, but I'm curious why the ROM wouldn't flash using philZ adv cwr? I have had only positive results using it and found in the past its been rock solid for me no matter what I threw at it.. :/

I just flashed from 1.2 to 1.4 with PhilZ. Not too sure why it wouldn't work for you. Maybe a bad DL?

My WiFi stopped too. I'm going to try and flash a different kernel. That usually fixes it

Edit: Ktoonsez aosp 4.4 kernel fixed WiFi. It's under original android development

Yeah its a Sprint S4. No I didn't toggle that either. Just wiped and flashed. Just dirty flashed 1.4.

I used KT's kernel and came up fine. Usually a kernel issue.
