Hi everyone. Just flashed and so far everything is running great. But that's normal, carbon rom has always been wonderful on previous phones I have owned. However I did notice some thing, there is no camera app. I also have a question, is there any way at all to get use out of the s-pen again? Seems a bit of a waist having it but can't use it for anything other than clicking icons. Thank you for the ROM and thank you for your time answering my questions. I know I can Google things, call me old fashion but I prefer to deal with people opposed to just web pages.

The camera has an issue starting on the 5/20 nightly, If you go back to a build prior to that point you should be okay. You could try to install the google camera app from the Play store.
Running 6/1/2014 build, no issues so far with camera. No tweaks or mods. Wiped cache and delvik prior to install.
Yes i can get a gps lock. On a quick side note, im getting a reboot when using bluetooth. Playing Pandora or Spotify will power cycle device (not when launching app but after using app) Any one else see this?
6/3 build working great so far. Good job Team Carbon. Been waiting on a solid AOSP ROM like this to try again. Thanks for the work.

Anyone having crashes on dialer history? I dirty flashed 6/9 and 6/10 builds over 5/27 and all is well except for that. I realize dirty flashing over 4.4.2 could totally be the problem, but if someone could confirm it's working on a clean install of 6/9 or 6/10 before I wipe & start over, that'd be great.

I haven't had any lte or reboot problems. However, per the usual for all aosp roms, I can not for the life of me get a gps lock.

Anyone happen to experience this? Open YouTube, go to a video, watch landscape, phone reboots?
EDIT: I did some more tinkering and now I have the same problem as in pac man rom, my media volume is on "permanent" mute?
EDIT 2: A reboot seems to free the volume up again, but if i try to adjust it while something is playing, boom - reboot. Any ideas? crossposting this to pac man rom also

I checked the Carbon ROM web site and I don't see that gear has been added, you can check here:

edit: also, I searched this thread for gear and there are only 2 posts, both asking if it will work. As of what I see it looks as if it doesn't.
It doesn't hurt to try though. You can always backup, Flash this, play around and if no go. restore

Hello everybody. I wanted to share a few apps I found the other night. They really bridge the gap between TW and AOSP. The first is called cm s-pen add-on, it enables the use of s-pen on aosp roms. The next is called Myscript notes mobile, it is almost exactly the same as S-notes on TW. It is a little expensive but we'll worth it if you want that tw experience back. And the last app I suggest is called Myscript Stylus, it allows you to hand write into text messages, your browser, pretty much anything where text can be put in. This app is free while still in beta.
All of these apps can be found in the play store. If you are like me in that you love aosp but want to use this awesome phone as it was intended then I suggest giving these apps a try.

Has 4.4.3 or the 4.4.4 update managed to snag that annoying GPS over LTE and random reboot problem? I really want to jump ship from TW for good on my note.
This is a ASOP Rom...the Galaxy Gear 1, 2 & 2 Neo will not work on it as it needs TW to work....at least thats what I've read all over the place. I have the Gear Neo, and thats why I havent jumped back into any ASOP Roms (which I love since my Evo days). I wouldnt be able to make use of my watch. However I also now have the Gear Live and that works on just about any android phone (provided that its 4.3 and above). So until someone makes that bridge to get the gear 1, 2 and Neo to work on ASOP...then ur S.O.L. sorry.
