Has anyone had issues getting wifi to activate after flashing? I updated recovery to Philz and clean flashed (a couple of times).
I'm on NE 1 and had similar issues until I flashed the full TAR (not just A ZIP version). I believe its because Samsung wrote something in the update that requires the new Bootloader to get any connectivity.

THANKS! This worked perfectly. For anyone else, I got the ne1 bootloader from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2761468 and flashed via ODIN.

True, although the latest SphereKat kernel from Civato apparently allows proper working wifi even without updating to the new bootloader. Worth it for those who want kitkat but havent upgraded yet, and who don't want to trip knox counter by installing the new bootloader.

Will zip file on internal memory or extSD work?

If I put the N5110UEU2CNE2_Stock_Rooted_DeOdexed.zip file on either the internal memory or extSD will TWRP be able to flash it?

TWRP seems to have some problems on extSD, if you are using TWRP I would recommend to copy the zip file on internal SD.
I personally use Philz and it works with both.

where can i find the bootlader? my wifi isnt working.
Go get Civato's kernel for your device and flash it. It will bring back wifi without updating bootloader which will trip counter. There is a link in OP.

cant get update to stick

Trying to mod my N5110 with the instructions in the OP. It's currently at over the air 4.4.2

Can't seem to get Philz recovery to stick. It came up once, but now if I boot into recovery its gone back to the OEM recovery. Also, root did not take effect after flashing the .zip.

Any ideas?

Where can I get "Kitkat Bootloader"?

If you took the OTA 4.4.2 update you should already have the KK bootloader.

Have you tried rooting with CF-Auto-Root? Once you are rooted the Flashify app can install a custom recovery that is in the "recovery.img" format.
