Installation instructions
Installing Mahdi-Rom for the first time, or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you're running a proper working ClockworkMod-Recovery/Team Win Recovery Project
- Copy GApps and ROM ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash Mahdi-Rom zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!

Upgrading from an earlier version:
- Copy the ROM ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash the ROM zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- Reboot

Does mahdi have the powersave/balance/performance feature in perfomance settings like pro bam does? I love that feature.

This has everything! Awesome port. Anyone else lose calling though? Data, SMS and MMS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi work but when I go to make a call the cell disconnects.

I don't see any balance setting, but it does have powersave and performance as kernel performance settings.

Haven't had any call issues.
Edit: scratch that. Call issues. I'll see what we can do about that.

Thought I had it figured out, but nope... I'll keep digging.

I'm gonna have to look into it a little later. I just grabbed a quick logcat on my way out the door if anyone wants to take a look at it.

can you grab a radio.log when you get back that might help better the logcat didnt seem very descriptive
but i did see
Fatal signal 11 (SIGSEGV) at 0x0000002c (code=1), thread 2981 (rild)
it appears to crash maybe a reboot and wipe to clear out as when i as playing with team gummy it took 7 fac resets and reflashing the rom to get my ril to pick up signal this might help i dont know though

I have been running this all day and have not noticed any issues with calls. I have been able to make and receive calls without an issue. SMS has been solid as well without Google movies installed. Like all the customizations too. No reboots yet either.

You can try to do one thing. Its a dirty workaround, i dont even know that it will work or not

Take system/lib/libril.so file from any rom which has calling working.
Paste it into ur system/lib folder (overwrite) in your Mahdi rom zip , u should see calls are working fine afterwards

He made quite a lot of commits yesterday that broke external/bluetooth for me. I shouldn't have done a sync before my attempted fix.

I might try your dirty fix in the meantime.

Proper fix. Thanks to @crpalmer for pointing me in the right direction. Made a few calls and it works fine.
