Bugs in this ROM
I just installed this KitKat ROM on my Canvas Magnus, and here's a list of bugs I came across:
#1. Battery drain - The battery drains out in 12 hours from full charge to 2%.
I have googled and found out that this is a KitKat bug in many phones such as Samsung, Sony, etc that have received this update and that they are waiting for Google to fix it. Most of them point to the buggy Google play services update. I've uninstalled the updated one , but still the battery drains. I've even killed almost all of the processes running , left only a few of the required ones. But still the battery drains at the same rate. I've also noticed that the phone is always awake and does not go to deep sleep. I've installed DU Battery Saver app, and forced the system to Deep sleep mode when screen is off, but the battery still drains.
#2. Sensors - The sensors do not work in this ROM.
There is no way to enable/disable or even adjust them on this ROM when compared to the stock 4.2.1 ROM. The result of this is that when making/receiving calls, the screen is always on and ends up clicking some of the icons on the screen. The orientation sensor works though.
Apart from this all the previously mentioned bugs/issues are there.. Camera/SDCard not accessible.
On the good side, the ROM is very stable though and also fast. :good::good:
P.S: Am reverting back to the stock ROM. Can't afford to keep charging my cell every 12 hours. The batter drained out when kept idle overnight.
I should be old enough to have one...
