Try here...there's a link for an aroma installer that throws on a bunch of the s5 mods...or you can piece it together. ..I believe some stuff doesn't work on this rom though...might have to tinker a little. [MOD][Collection]Various mods for the Note 2 at one place

I'm loving this ROM, but is there an apk for Visual VM somewhere? In the 4.3 days it use to be linked from the second post, but I haven't been able to find it for this version. Anybody?

Just flashed yesterday. Coming from B26. Gotta say, Love this rom. Just followed the directions to a T and everything went so smooth. No FC's, no reboots. Just a fast, stable rom. Thanks all who made this.

FINALLY got it working. AGNi kernel flashed after flashing the ROM and all is good.

VERY smooth ROM.

Anyone know how i can add more toggles to the toggle window in the notification drop-down? Other ROMs i've used have had tons of other options - and i realize this is built off of stock, but is there a way to add more?

You can use wanam... What I'm dying to know is how to get the extended toggles. I'm trying to get torch back on there is freaking driving me nuts that I don't have torch on there.

Glad to know you got it working. What did you end up doing? I thought about you ask last week.

I haven't been able to get a torch toggle to work. The closest thing I've found was Mappz Quick Settings. You can also load apps in addition to the toggles. This was included in one of the roms but i can't remember which. But I think it's available on Google Play.

You can use sqlite to add those. Do a Google search on how to add WiFiHotspot to quick settings. There are a few tutorials.

Thank you!

Finally got 4.1.2 working..took FOREVER.. 2 weeks to finally get a working phone again. It was a basically stemming from bad stock firmware. Just kept trying different versions until it would boot.

A friendly guy here told me about the AGNI kernel and i flashed that after this ROM, and all is good. Works flawlessly. For whatever reason this ROM won't work out of box for me - but with the different kernel, all is good - and runs so freaking smooth.

Guys - I have a ton of contacts that aren't syncing over to my phone. They are in gmail, but not on my phone. How do i fix? Only happened with this ROM, hasnt happened before..

If your still interested in the Flashlight (torch) quick settings toggle, I have made a mod for it.

  1. Download and flash THIS zip.
  2. Download an app that will edit a sqlite database. I use SQLite Editor.
  3. Open that sqlite app and find the Settings Storage app and then select the "settings.db".
  4. Then select the "system" table.
  5. Search for "notification", and find the "notification_panel_active_app_list".
  6. Add "Flashlight;" (without the quotes) to the value. You can also add "WiFiHotspot;" as well. Pay attention to the capital letters and make sure you include the semi-colon.
  7. Save the changes and reboot.

If you can't find the db, it is located at /data/data/com.android.providers.settings/settings.db.

This zip will replace your SystemUI and SecSettings apks.

Make a backup first in case something goes wrong. It works great on my device.

I used THIS thread as a guide.

Anyone that has downgraded from SR 4.4.2 back to SR 4.3 could you please post the steps you used? I tried downgrading by simply wiping all and FR but I get an endlessly looping bootanimation both installing with TWRP and philz. I've also tried restoring my SR 4.3 v3.1 backup with the same result. My next step was to flash the completely stock rooted 4.1.2 image with odin and go about the process of unlocking and upgrading back to 4.3. I don't want to waste my time if this isn't going to work. It seems 4.4.2 has made some permanent changes and I haven't done enough research to find out what they are. May not be worth the time once the Note 4 arrives.

UPDATE:
So I decided to try odining back to 4.1.2 and after unlocking with casual everything was working until I tried updating to SR Remix 3.1. This doesn't make sense because that's where I was when first updating to SR Remix. I have one last thought. When first updating to MJ9 I started with the "Beans Official" release. Maybe I'll try that before giving up.

UPDATE 2:
Well that's very strange, I used the Beanstown official stock release then installed SR and got it working. I wonder what's missing from this one that is keeping it from working.

I've use odin to install stock recovery and wipe everything like crazy. Use odin to install TWRP and then I got it back. Make sure your not on the newer radio also. I'm also looking forward to the Note 4, but I'll wait and see what it's like for rooting. This KitKat stuff sucks.
