Point the tablet at a webcam or digital camera and try sending some IR commands. The camera will see the IR and it will show up on the display.

I've just flashed rc3,5 and I've got a strange bug or a strange thing with the launcher:
I've tried to setup a wallpaper to see if it will "fix" this, but it just doesn't work. On the other side, the wallpaper was settled correctly on the lockscreen.
I did a factory reset before flashing, and wipe dalvik and cache after reboot.. didn't help thing out

I'll try and do someting about battery life when I have a spare moment, I've found it to still be very good overall.
I haven't had the chance to look at IR, does it work on CM?
OK I'll have a look at this as well, I think know what it is.
Is It possible that u can make a navigation button that u hit It and show notifications like other roms? and one for LAST APP which opens last app?

After trying CM it seems much better, same everything but great battery life.
What does this ROM give me that CM doesn't?

Hi I just tried the ROM and I'm finding I have the same issues as with Cyanogenmod, Plants vs Zombies 2 won't run and Geekbench crashes about halfway through the test.
The tablet doesn't power off, only restarts. Why?

Flip cover
In original 4.2.2 in GPAD, when I used to close flip cover, the screen used to get locked. But now it does not. Are we missing a feature or overlooking a feature?

I am back to stock waiting for official update...too many probs with this...
good to know.. i was struggling so much by installing a recovery and getting the 4.4.2 installed with no success... ill leave it stock then maybe it's better..

I'm a little concerned though, I got my G Pad about a week back and pretty much instantly rooted it and installed a custom recovery and a custom ROM. However it seems to be taking a lifetime to charge, it's currently at 60% but has been on charge for 8 hours.
I'm running the rc2a release. Does this sound more like a hardware issues as oppose to software?
I'm tempted to flash back to stock to see if it helps.
