Flashed the ROM. Running fine so far except for one major bug which also exist on all custom ROMs (CM11, AOKP and Beanstalk) of this phone - audio volume is unacceptably low on both audio and video recording. Its perfectly fine on stock and all stock based custom ROMs. I believe its to do with the kernel wherein the 2nd or one of the mic is not working.

Please fix it for once and I am going to stick with this ROM.

Use meow kernel you can increase your audio volume by faux sound

Sent from my C5503 using XDA Premium HD app
The problem is the 2nd mic not being enabled when recording, not the speaker volume of the ZR, unless the meow kernel enables the 2nd mic then increasing the volume will not fix the problem.

Best custom rom for the Xperia ZR (dogo)

Thanks Dev!!!
This rom is the most feature rich and smooth among the few available for dogo. I am very happy with it. Now it is running with art runtime without problems. I don't like benchmarks, but tried antutu, to compare art and dalvik. With art it is 20110. No performance changes. Everything is like right after the rom flash. Just installed my ~50 apps.

With Dalvik it is 20440. Art gave a bit faster feeling but there are some older apps don't run under art.
Anyway dalvik is also fine regarding speed : ) And I am not a developer so maybe this comparism was silly and not so scientific : )

My short review:
- Apn selection ok here as well
- no reboots at all, build is working fine and stable for some days
- wifi fine
- mobile networks: couldn't test yet
- bluetooth: couldn't test yet
- battery seems to be fine, but havn't checked it so much
- custom quick settings tile is very handy
- nav bar button configuration capability as well
- camera for me is a bit boring, I am using SnapCameraHDR instead. I like it's feature that both the photo shoot button and video recording start button are on the screen. so you don't need to choose between photo or video mode just push the button you need (like on the stock camera). And it is more feature rich. But HDR photos are not that good than the rom's built-in camera.
- Sound recording volume level low as with all the custom roms. Hopefully the next release of meow kernel could do smthg with it.
- first thing I changed: boot animation : ) the original was really disturbing for me. but that is not important regarding a rom performance : )

Good news : ) can't wait to try it!

One recommendation: could you provide md5 sum files next to the builds? It would be reassuring to check the file before flash.

you didn't provide instructions for installation. i'm on 4.3 stock rooted rom and unlocked BL, am i right to assume that this rom will work with my stock kernel and all i have to do is to flash the rom and gapps?

First: I did according to the below process, but I don't take any responsibility.

Is your phone Xperia ZR?
You will need a working recovery also, where from you will install the rom, and gapps zip. I recommend the Xperia Recovery Manager app. That cost something, but than really easy and handy to get the right recovery for your phone. You can choose TWRP or CWM. And read the app thread for more advantage of installing recovery to FOTAKernel partition (as the app does). I use TWRP. It is handy, and if you set the time zone correctly, it will make an easy to find name for your nandroid backups (date_time_rom name) by default.

When you have a working recovery (lets say TWRP):
1. Start the recovery
2. Make a nandroid backup (you can choose between internal storage, sd card to save it). (Than I recommend a reboot, and check whether the backup files exists or not? than back to recovery)
3. Make a Factory reset (or you can choose the followings manually: wipe cache, dalvik, data. you can wipe system also)
4. install rom zip
5. install gapps zip
6. Than I wiped cache and dalvik (Sometimes I skip this. If there is problem without this step, than do it)
7. reboot and enjoy
first boot a bit longer than later boots will be
