What kernel are you using, and what settings did you change if different from OP. Do you get the call echo? Everything was running smooth for me except with 2 sods and call echo.

Just a quick thank you to the LS team. I've been running the 2/28 build with PEAK 5.3 and the sound fix in development thread since the 28th. No issues, everything just works.

Flashed Furnace 1.7.1 a half hour ago. Got my first SOD there when the screen was off doing nothing. At least dr's kernel survived longer than that.

I captured a logcat, dmesg, last_kmsg this time. It's attached.

I just figured out how to clear all recents. Pinch together over the drawer (top to bottom).

I tried furnace first, and had many problems, so I switch to dr build and has been flawless so far. I guess my particular phone doesnt take furnace very well. May give Paek a go also. Btw the new recents are VERY nice. Thanks!

Thanks Reg been running for a couple days now a freeze or two but all in all no worse than Mal and a whole bunch more to it running furnace and your settings might even get better. I know you know about volume issue. They only issue I have is signal strength which isn't the ROM it is on all Port ROMs I'm in a strong signal area and I can see the bars arent what they were on stock ROMs. I haven't dropped signal yet but I'm sure I will. I'm sure things will be better when 4.4 drops.

You're looking at bars? Or db? Because aosp on this phone always shows less bars then stock. Db is very close though.

You shouldn't be getting less of a signal, it just looks that way

I don't really go by bars but they to mean something. My dB's are about same but that doesn't mean everything either like someone else said they can fugue them to. I have 1to2 bars now and depending on how I hold the phone I can get more. I probably am getting -93 db and my download speed here is crazy fast 50,000 down every time. The problem is its not stable like on stock which cause signals to drop. Just my two cents.

I flashed both versions of this over the past two days and didn't get a single signal drop.

Sitting at my house I can have three bars with -100db on stock, then flash an aosp ROM and show two bars with -100 to -105db.


Looking at the db will give you the best idea of signal strength. I've flashed every ROM put out stock and aosp and I have never had an issue withy signal dropping.

It might be a hardware issue with your phone.

One thing you could try (if you haven't already) is to flash a different radio. In the g2 original android thread, there is a thread with all the radios in a zip form.

Read the first few pages, he references his other thread to back up your efs data, back it up! (If it gets botched you are screwed, as each phone has its own)

Reboot into recovery and flash it.

I'm on 10b but am running the 12b radio, I've also used 11a and all have been fine.

That's exactly what I mean you said on stock your solid - 100 but on aosp your -100 to -105 that men's your signal is fluxuating not stable. I'll bet if you put your self in a spot where you got only 3g stock if you are on aosp you would go to 1x or drop. I'm on 11A using 12A modem seems best for me. I also have a Moto X which does the same thing on Port aosp Roms. If you try it you will see what I mean. I don't know why but that's the way it works.

And testing against a Motorola will always result in a loss as Motorola radios are the best, most powerful.

OK you win but 5db is about 10% loss or gain and on fringe your done my G2 actually gets better numbers than the Moto X I wasn't comparing only saying they both did the same thing. If your in a strong area 5 db ain't squat but if you get in a fringe like I said your gonna loose it.

Can you send using stock mms app? If yes, then perhaps it's a google issue. I'll check stock app now too. Don't use hangouts, though.

Sometimes my volume rocker will just stop working. The slider will either slide up/down or not respond and if it slides up or down the volume of the music doesn't change. Only thing that fixes it is a reboot or running dsp manager. Anyone else experiencing this?

Are you connected to WiFi? If so, disconnect and try sending again.

I hate to ask because I can usually find these things but do you have a link to the sound fix you are talking about?
