I've been messing around with it on CM currently, my build don't seem to have the option under performance to turn on transparent navbar and status bar.

I've managed to enable it by changing the boolean in frameworks/base/core/java/android/app/ActivityManager.java from 'false' to 'true'

in the commit here: http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/57471/

it implies there should be a check box to enable it.... but there isn't?!

I've checked my code against the commits and it is in my code, it has merged, as stated by the commit status. so unsure as to why it isn't coming up...

Odd that it's in the code and in the build but not enabled on the front end. Think it is enabled with the same logic that "Device Parts" used to be, such as the Xoom's charging light option on 10.2? Where that setting is only activated if your device is on list X or list Y? I haven't run my own build before so I'm not 100% sure either; maybe there's another commit needed to actually enable it?

Either way, glad to see you got it working on your build, I'm going to try this out today since I'm still running stable 10.2 on my Xoom (didn't want to do the bigPart repartitioning).

I think it's something to do with our device isn't low RAM, we have 1GB, I think 512mb is classed as low, I may be wrong.

Here is the latest everest build! Completely untested by me, can some confirm 3G works since I did something slightly different to speed up the build time

Great job. I've just tryed the everest build. It's always smooth, but AOSP keyboard always crash, sometime Settings app too. Just theese bugs, otherwhise it would work pretty well. I hope to see new updates soon :good:

Keyboard only has English to save space in /system, so if you're changing language that may be the issue

So, I need to change just keyboard language or I have to use my xoom in English ?

inviato dal tabellone ultragalattico s4

To save space there is only the english language in the keyboard app,

so either you need to use english as the keyboard language

or

tell me what language you use and I'll upload the keyboard app with just that language in

Will this rom ever be updated?
Or am I doing something wrong, I tried the OTA updater.

Hopefully it will, currently on recent builds we are facing booting errors, both me and schischu have the issue, both are looking into it and corresponding together.

stuck on motorola boot symbol

hey,

i've had before the omni-rom from here:http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2580256 (yes,with bigpart).
and i've tried to install this rom with multi-window - but it is now stuck in motorola boot symbol.
is it because i used bigpart?
and if so - how can i replace the recovery to no-bigpart in order to install this?
can't find anything here about it.

thanks

yeah, this is a non big-Part ROM, you must flash the original TWRP by runandhide05, grab the zip from his thread and downgrade to non big-Part, follow the instructions for upgrading to bog-Part but when it says about flashing a recovery use the non big-Part version

you need to download GApps (Google Apps) from the first post. It's just under download, flash that with the ROM and you will have the Play Store, Youtube can then be downloaded from the Play Store

I present to you, OmniROM for non bigPart users!

First of all a massive thanks to @Schischu for bringing Omni to the xoom, this would not be possible regardless of whether he made it for bigPart or not! So please hop over to his thread and give him some praise!

I have recompiled his sources without the bigPart patch and have removed some things in order for it to fit into our ~250mb /system

    Code:
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * or anything unexpected that may happen to your device!
     * You are choosing to make these modifications,
     * if your device turns into a paperweight then it is your fault!

    Download

    MultiWindow
    25/05/2014
    http://d-h.st/sIB

    GApps
Use Banks Core GApps, found here: http://d-h.st/Yi6

This is currently for Wingray users only (or those who don't mind not having data), I will look into possibly making this for Stingray and Everest users but no promises as I am only a Wingray user.

    Installation

    Flash ROM
    Flash Gapps
    Flash SuperSU
    Profit!

    What's removed?

    Code:
    /system/app/apollo
    /system/app/calculator
    /system/app/dspmanager
    /system/app/latinime (stripped)
    /system/app/videoeditor
    /system/priv-app/dialer
    /system/media/audio
    /system/fontsNotoColorEmoji

    Credits and Thanks:
    Schischu
    bigrushdog
All who contributed to the bigPart research too

Got another Ota. Assume for bigpart _ just FYI

Sent from my Xoom Wifi using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Yeah, that'll be bigPart, I've been slacking a bit lately getting that sorted. I never found it. I'll just ask schischu, thanks for letting us know

MultiWindow support added in the latest update: http://d-h.st/Dxp

I'm sure most of you know how to use it.

Here is the patch on gerrit for those who are interested: https://gerrit.omnirom.org/#/c/1510/
