Quick Q/A, because thee will be a lot of same questions :)

Yes

Does it have battery dock indicator?
No. Not yet, but charging from dock works.

NTFS support?
Yes, in R/W mode.

Can I use GRIMLOCK kernel?
Yes, it works

It doesn't have xyz feature that is in AOKP roms!
Complain here.

What GAPPS can I use?
Any KK GAPPS.

Do I really need to do a full wipe?
If you like to live dangerously, then no.

Thanks, works nicely.
Had to change the backup path to /storage/emulated/legacy/TitaniumBackup in titanium backup then reopen the app for it to work.

Hi, thanks for having this one available.

I have an unlocked TF300T with v4.2.1 and v10.6.1.15.3. I've also already installed TWRP 2.6.1.0 for backups purposes.

With this configuration, can I directly install this ROM? Or should I do any other step before?

Your bootloader is fine, but you are going to need to install TWRP 2.6.3.1 in order to install KitKat ROMs.

I just updated TWRP and now I can normally install this ROM, and after the GApps.
But, I should have asked before:

1) Would I be able to restore the previous ROM without any issues? (just made a backup in TWRP)
2) Apparently, there is no official support for TF300T in AOKP's website. Is that correct? If so, where did this ROM come from?

Thanks again.

1.) Yes, the backup should restore without a problem. If there is one, downgrade TWRP to the previous version for the same bootloader and try again.

2.) This is an unofficial build, as said in the title
[ROM] [4.4.2][UNOFFICIAL]AOKP :: KitKat :: TF300T
So the OP built it him/her self for the device.

Working but with a major issue: performance.

Simple tasks such as checking a checkbox, viewing recent apps menu, take ages sometimes. Which is a pity, since it seems to be very fast (when it works as it should).

Correction: after updating the kernel, it's working just fine.

Give the system atleast 5 mins to settle down. Then you shouldnt face any performance issue.
If you are still facing performance issue then flash recommended kernel.

I installed it yesterday and I had to reboot after first boot and then it got smoother, but still, there are some very simple tasks that shouldn't take so long as they are taking.

I am change the kernel then, GRIMKERN_KitKat_0.9.zip, isn't it?
I looked for install instructions, but found nothing. Is it a simple install from recovery and reboot? Do I need to wipe cache and delvik?

By the way, I have: scheduler (cfq) and governor (interactive). Perhaps something wrongly chosen?

Strange, i havent face any slowness in this rom :(
Definetly no reboots.
Have wiped data+cache+dalvik before installing the rom ?

For kernel, i generally wipe cache+dalvik b4 installing it.
YES, its the grimlock kernel v0.9 iam using currently.

Iam using interactive+cfq as my setup as well.

I did it. Wiped cache+dalvik and installed the kernel.
It improved a lot the performance. Now, it's very good.
Thank you.

I gave it a try yesterday (with Grimlocks 0.9 Kernel):

- very smooth experience at first, alas, degrading constantly after 2-3 hours use :( notable lags and scrolling issues. I tried optimizing clock/governor/stack settings in trickster - did not notice any difference.
- could not connect to google calendar - option never showing up in accounts settings. clearing data, logging out and re-logging into my account didn't help

But it just "felt right" if you know what I mean. Would love to have this as a constant ...

I have used the tab and didnt find any lag after my use. Even though the usage varies from person to person ;)

Calender sync is working fine at my side. It seems your gapps package is the culprit.
