Unofficial Carbon Rom

CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.

Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.

We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.

Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.

While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!

1.6 is a pretty big update for us! Check out the changelog on our goo.im page for more, but here are the highlights:

-We've fixed PIE! It no longer decides to be invisible from time to time.
-We fixed the battery charge light! None of us use it but apparently you guys are just nuts for it!
-Dark Carbon! Huge props to Slim Roms for coming up with this unique and awesome feature.
-Lockscreen theming
-CM skinny battery is back!
-Volume key lock on silent mode option
-Backup tool - if you're flashing a new version of Carbon and already have the required version of gapps installed, it will be backed up and restored during install. This applies to system apps and custom host files as well. Please note that you should only dirty flash from Carbon to Carbon. It's ok if it's another version or a nightly - just not over other roms. Super handy for you crack flashers. Make sure you've got the most recent Gapps though, and if you're flashing from a factory reset, you'll still need to install it after install of course.
-Long pressing the "clear recents" button clears the cache
-3.4 kernel on D2xxx devices. It's finally stable enough where we're comfortable with this - remember to only flash other 3.4 kernels or it will not boot as there are rom-level dependencies.
-AOKP's awesome new navbar settings
-NFC polling mode for when you want to keep your screen off and scan tags
-MMS and call "breathe" feature. Makes the notification icon fade in and out.
-Mute dings when changing volume
-Disable/enable CRT effect on screen on/off.
-3rd party keyboard bug fixed
-deodexed again
-stability and speed enhancements
-a million other little things as well - we basically don't even sleep anymore.

Re: [ROM][4.2.2]Liquid Smooth Ver. 2.1 RC2[3-31-13][Linaro opts ROM & Kernel]

Nice 1 jamie

Sent from my EVO 4G LTE using xda premium

I got to put this out there right naow... This ROM, is wicked, lightening fast. These guys went all out. I built this playing around, after running it for a short time, and realizing this schools anything I have built or ran on this phone, I had to post it to share. Very lightweight 120+ MB, Linaro opts for ROM and kernel, Liquid settings that rival Root Box and PAC, all together in an extremely well refined ROM. I'm blown away by it. Hope you all enjoy.
I can't frakking wait till Deck and the kernel guru's get us a 3.4 kernel...
BTW, it runs swell on the stock kernel, but Komodo brings it to a HNL...

Ha! Yeah well my time might be freeing up tremendously. We keep getting screwed on pay. We're contracted for no less than $2.79 a ft, just got shorted ¢.79 a ft on a 3400 sq ft job....
So it looks like the R.O.P.E. rom may be finished up real soon. Good to see ya around man. Whatcha know about partition tables? I need some help on a little project..

Does this rom have an option to invert apps like the dark option in root box? If not, are there any inverted apps that work with this?

That's all the Liquid team bro, my only adds to this were reducing a couple animation duration settings and applying the patches for 4.7 compliance provided by Rohan Mathur. Who, btw, has been one of our recent contributors in maintaining our kernel on CM.
But hey, I did sync all that ****, created a couple vendor files to build it, and sat back for the 18 minutes it took to compile while having a Platinum.... Buurp. Hard work indeed. ;)

Dude that sucks big time! I am still waiting to see if we are getting furloughed and if so that's 20% of my pay.
Sadly I don't know chit on development brother. I can read and help if you want when I get time just hit me up here or on Gtalk.

Hi,

I wanted to know a couple of things if you don't mind.

First - are the pictures and video in this ROM just as good as the ones on Sense?

Second - does the noise cancellation work with this ROM?

Does are really my only concerns right now.

Thanks!!

Y u no update to latest bro?

Looks to be a case of LFS. Seems to be a localized epidemic here in the LTE forums. We have dirty flashing, rampant neglect to update to latest, and worst of all, failure to wipe. Let's hope this gets under control soon. Lazy Flashers Syndrome is real and it's a dangerous thing my friend.
First you get the false bug reports, then rumors of random boot loops. Before you know it people are flashing RUU's left and right. Then all hell breaks loose.
I remember this one time, back in Nam. LFS crept in on us slowly, no one really took notice. Poor Petey, he was the first to go. Said he was just gonna take a quick nap, next thing you know he wakes up with an IPhone. It was hell man. We lost a lot of good flashers back there.
