Vanir was founded on the premise of performance tuning Android. We are based on AOSP, but include features (many of which have been rewritten to be more efficient) from other ROMs.

Our webkit, chromium, and skia are aosp/master merged with codeaurora, with linaro fixes on top.

BY LINARO, I MEAN GLOBAL "-O3 -fstrict-aliasing".... we didn't just switch toolchains. Here at Team Vanir, WE GO HARD.

stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
improved notification handling (active display & halo are in review also)

Thanks a lot droidmaster... Will try and report back :)

Update : after 3 hours of use... ROM has very good features and to get that have to compromise with speed a bit... Had two reboots in this time... Overall a nice rom with good features and moderate speed and I hope with next update this will be gone so that I will make it my daily driver.. Thanks a lot again bro :)

Not sure how this applies to i9000, AFAIK we are all still on the Gingerbread Bootloader, no?

com android systemui fc ..
torch not working,emulator terminal,google account need wifi to login for first time cant use data...all is great...keep up to date....i like vanir bootanimation...overall feature great :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:...HOPE WILL BE OFFICIAL

doesnt the rom have high end effects with low ram on? Mackay Rom had it. I want transparent status bar :p

Fantastic Rom, even faster and smoother with x-aries kernel. As has been mentioned above, the battery life is amazing. For me, the jury is still out on the dodgy bootanimation :laugh:
